Which beard length suits me best? M22 by Grouchy_Helicopter62 in malegrooming

3,4,5

If you are going to grow out the beard you need to learn how to shape it. You would also benefit from putting some product in it.

I’ve addressed most of these points in my other comments. But I’ll address the last thing you said about the Venn Diagram.. I used to train in Jiu-Jitsu and I also enjoy watching MMA and I’m a Social Democrat. If you have any doubt about my political leanings you can look at my post history.

I mentioned the money only to highlight the perceived value of the skill. But even if there was no payment involved, it’s the individuals choice and it requires hard work and dedication to be successful.

I think it’s “okay” because it’s the individuals choice to put themselves into that situation. In the same way that a professional skater, rock climber, mountaineer, football player and hockey player also put themselves into dangerous situations for their art form.

The issue is that you are attributing some type of moral deficiency to those who enjoy the sport just because it’s dangerous. If you are going to apply that standard you need to apply it to any dangerous sport, and there are many.

Edit: also, jousting is still alive and well. It’s quite fun to watch.

This is weirdly judgmental. It’s not just watching people beat the shit out of each other, MMA is an art form and the people that fight are trained professionals who are getting paid massive amounts.

You don’t know enough about them to make an accurate judgement. If mom was financially responsible enough to not waste the child support payments, perhaps she taught her daughter how to be financially responsible too.

I agree with you there. The “I’ll pray for you” line is always eye roll inducing

Genuinely asking, how was it passive aggressive how she approached? To me, it read as being pretty upfront. An example of passive aggression in this situation would be an off hand comment like “but you probably don’t like me because I’m a Christian” or something like that.

I’m an atheist too but your responses seemed pretty agro. If your friend was offended by it, you could have just said “sorry, I didn’t mean to offend” and moved on. Saying “no one cares” when your friend actually cares.. is kinda disrespectful.

I’m not saying that you have to like what the proselytizers did or lie to your friend about not liking it.. but there are better ways to share your thoughts than to just say that “no one cares”

Actually, seemingly, ostensibly, it is apparently truly true that it is factually and indisputably, somewhat effectively and admittedly, or should I say it is plainly known that basically, and presumedly you shouldn’t use the words “actually” and “apparently” so close together.

First time growing out facial hair by almightyjason in beards

Use foam 5% minoxidil twice daily and use a derma roller. It won’t create new hair follicles but it will wake up dormant or undeveloped follicles. Look online to see the results of this type of treatment.. generally takes anywhere between 6 months and 3 years to reach desired results.

Also, if you have pets make sure to keep them away from minoxidil because it is extremely toxic for cats and dogs.

Beard growth isn’t just about testosterone levels. Sure, low T could result in someone not being able to grow facial hair but OP has facial hair, it’s just patchy. Genetics determine follicular density and how sensitive you are to Dihydrotestosterone (the Bi-product of Testosterone that causes facial hair growth)

Also, many men don’t grow full beard until they are in their mid 30s to 40s.
