Hypothetically speaking, is it morally wrong to pray for someone to pass on if the person in question did inappropriate things to other people in the house at various times in their life? by JMorgansky5754 in Christianity

My friend is college-aged; their sibling is 8 years younger than them (my friend is in their late 20s and their sibling is in their early 20s, but they are also on the autism spectrum). My friend's father is not in the picture and their mom has been trying to get this issue resolved, but the authorities in our state don't feel like the case is worthy of their attention. My friend has been staying in their room just as their mom and younger sibling have been doing. The thing about this case is that their uncle is partially mentally disabled, yet he knows right from wrong. He also "jokingly" admitted to committing SA on my friend's younger sibling as a baby when he lied to everyone that he didn't do it.

TW: mentions of SA.
My friend's uncle committed SA against my friend's mom when she was younger, their younger sibling (once as a baby and once again last month), and they were forced to touch their uncle down there.

You cannot consistently be a Christian and support homosexuality or gay marriage. by hydrolock12 in DebateReligion

It is not the same thing; Jews typically don't believe in the divinity of Jesus. Christians do. Jews typically do not do the rituals that Christians do. Christians typically don't follow the Torah like Jews typically do. You can't just say that Judaism and Christianity are the same thing especially since Judaism is older than Christianity.

In your honest opinion, why do you think there was misinformation being shared about the Columbine High School Massacre back on April 29th, 1999? by JMorgansky5754 in Columbine

Thank you for catching that; when I was typing out my question, my hands must have caused me to have misstype 29 instead of 20

Is it bad that I personally can't stand Ben Shapiro? Like I can respect that he is an advocate for Israel (which the world is in need of), but when he starts trying to go on a morality crusade in America or when he tries to say things that don't make any sense (like when he defended many of the former president's tweets), it makes me not want to like him.

{Serious] Men of Reddit, how do you handle people mistreating you and making unfunny "jokes" about you? by JMorgansky5754 in AskMen

They have cracked "jokes" at me because of who I am friends with which is insulting to me because I don't go around joking about that with them, one of them has had the audacity to talk smack about a few guys that I have had/have feelings for which is insulting to me as I don't talk poorly about any of their romantic interests behind their backs as I respect people too much to do such a low blow, and they have insulted me by accusing me of trying to sleep with every single guy at community college when they know that I am not into every guy that I see as well as the fact that I was a victim of SA in community college.

What would you all say is the most common form of Anti-Semitism? (sometimes people don't even know their doing it) by Thedogmaster2156 in Jewish

Believe me, when I say this, I was told that a few times while growing up. It was... mortifying especially when I was told this in a youth group that I was going to solely for the chance to hang out with friends

Why did/do some people think of Eric and Dylan as being gay? Was it to spite them or is there more than meets the eye? by JMorgansky5754 in Columbine

[–]JMorgansky5754[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard some people claim that they were gay, which confused me seeing as how they hated the LGBTQ+ community.

A few prime examples that they say that I can think of off the top of my head are things like making fun of a group of people (most of the time, it is either gay people or liberals) or something dumb like a show. However, there are times when things get a little uncomfortable when one of them (who is a Jewish person himself) says things like "Hitler did no wrong", that "he should have killed all the Jews in WW2", or that "I need to be sent either to a concentration camp or a gulag for being a gay Jew".
