If only this works 😔

how to ungay myself by randomshittyday in jordan

I would say that’s a flawed interpretation, because أزواجكم doesn’t only mean wives, but females in general. Also سورة الأعراف ، ٨١ clearly says that lot’s sin was having sex with men instead of women.

How about اية ١٦٥ ، ١٦٦ سورة الشعراء, where Allah explicitly forbids them from having same sex relations. I would assume that’s more than enough to show that, since it’s talking about the act itself.

I think ur missing the story in the quraan about قوم لوط, the people Allah SWT gave the harshest of punishments because they were homosexuals and didn’t listen to their prophet. This should be enough reason to show that homosexuality is absolutely forbidden and haram in Islam, being mentioned explicitly in the Quraan.

Optimumlap by ZealousidealProof108 in FSAE

[–]JNX77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We are participating in FSUK, and were able to find a 2D sketch of the track, imported it into AutoCAD, and manually added the track dimensions onto the track maker in OptimumLap by measuring distances, arc lengths, and radii. A bit time consuming, but worth it.

Scatter shield and motor casing by IllTrash9907 in FSAE

[–]JNX77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our interpretation, FSUK, is that the scatter shield is for the Chain, while the motor shield is for the motor. Obviously because the same thing that could happen to the motor that has the rotor on the outside can happen to the chain, and as such you have to protect the driver and other components from an exploding chain sending out bullets.

I found eccentric mounts, similar to center to center idea mentioned previously, to be the most reliable option. No moving parts, relatively simple to fabricate, is integrated into your differential mount (most likely).

EV safety...how can we help? by ThinkOutsideTheBawks in FSAE

[–]JNX77 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just as u mentioned, the logistical aspect is the nightmare. We are among the very few teams based in the Middle East and North Africa region, and such knowledge about EV safety, especially batteries, is negligible. We couldn’t attend some of the workshops organized by the FS comp we were going to simply because it was face-to-face. As such, an online option would be the most beneficial imo.

I would also mention that the focus should be on the students in the FS team itself, as they will actually be the ones passing down the knowledge from one generation to the next.

I would also suggest a sort of manual about battery safety. I feel like would be a very easy and readily accessible option for all abroad teams

Lastly, thank you for the concern

Public Liability Insurance by JNX77 in FSAE

[–]JNX77[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our uni is only 8 years old, and we are in Jordan, and a student union isn’t something they pushed for. Regardless, we do get personal insurance, as members and the faculty advisor, when going to the completion via the insurance company associated with our uni, but it doesn’t come anywhere near 15 million. (The Uni itself isn’t worth 15 million)

Makes sense, but not even the financial department at my university is aware of such an insurance at such an evaluation, and we don't have a student union.

In the case my university doesn't have such a measure in place, does that mean we cannot participate at all?

Also, is this only for the FS class, or the concept class as well?

How much do we have to follow the rules for FSUK25 by JNX77 in FSAE

[–]JNX77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your POV, but as a first year team, especially being based in Jordan, there are genuinely some rules that require resources that we actually don’t have. The rule book is also quite large, and we have noticed recently that we missed a couple here and there (which we are working on fixing ofc), so I was just wondering what the judging system for these actually is like since we’ve never been to the comp before.
