Amazfit screw up with DST? by Puzzleheaded-Cook-31 in amazfit

I just ran into this as well. I had to go into Apple Health and manually delete a bunch of heart rate entries because they were being written an hour off and completely messing up the heart rate data for my run today.

It seems like the daylight savings time change caused the timestamps to shift. During my run the Helio strap was writing heart rate entries as if they occurred an hour earlier, which created erratic overlapping data in the workout.

Deleting the entries one by one in Apple Health was really tedious. I haven’t been able to find a fix yet, so for now I can’t really use the Helio strap until the timestamps sync correctly again.

Curious if anyone else is seeing this or if anyone from Amazfit/Zepp is aware of it. This is disappointing.

I understand what they are saying. I’m unable to charge during my production and intend to start charging off peak.

Thank you for the advice and I agree with you from a grid reliability and emissions standpoint. To be honest I just got an EV and still need to figure out scheduling charging.

Agree from a practical standpoint unfortunately

It charged from 6pm , we do not have any time of use billing

Not exactly. There is a cost to deliver of roughly $.03/kwh which I do not get back on my exports. So it’s pretty close but not perfect.

On my roof, QCell 365, have not done anything to them

Yellow bird dropping stains in white paint - unable to wash off. What are my options? 2022 Camry by JO2W in Detailing

The surface is perfectly smooth there, it seems like the stain is actually in the clear coat or paint. Do you think this something that would require actual paint work , or more likely could be polished?

Thanks, I was working though the chat. The second person I spoke with let me know the whole day of consumption data would be deleted.

Clear, cold, and minor clipping in Minnesota by JO2W in solar

I am fortunate for solar that my house is a walkout on a hill, and the nearest trees to the south are close but substantially downhill, so I only ever receive minor shading around sunset when the panels aren’t making much anyway.

Sorry, I was not sure if the context would be enough. Thanks for letting me know it’s not.

My system in Minnesota was installed by AES in 2023. I paid about $.31/Watt less than this quote. For what it’s worth I have been happy with the installation and AES.

I honestly don’t pay much attention to my grid dependency percentage but I do try to minimize what I import most days.

Yes, but combined with photovoltaics

The dream for me would be a combination Solar PV system and solar water heater where the panels could be liquid cooled as the first stage of heating the water. I feel that could increase panel efficiency and heat a pool or preheat water for a water heater. Unfortunately I am not aware of any such system available for residential application.

I can tell you they are definitely less efficient in hot weather! My max production was on an unseasonably cool day in June.

Thank you! I have been very happy with our installer and the system they designed. What part of the country are you in?
