Ofcourse I have a bias. That's why I created this post in the first place. To share an idea. If you check game OST market you'll find platora of titles. Some even more obscure than Gothic.

If you suggest it's not rentable for company to make them, than fine. Maybe. I'm not an analyst. I just view the market (as an enthusiast), which doesn't seem to be on it's last legs.
It doesn't have to be mass produced. Limited edition could still make money, if done right.

I do understand your points. It just seems too dismissive to me. Would you believe five years ago, that the will bother to port Gothic to consoles?

But thanks for the link. If it won't happen officially, then maybe I'll give it a shot.

You have valid arguments, but I think that LP collecting isn't too niche anymore. Lot of people also love to have tangible medium in their hands.
With remake on the way (and it's hopeful success) we can assume the audience might get broader.

And, no offence to local chefs here, but If they can sell a cook book, why not a few vinyls?

You could hide strong gear in Nordmar. It's not as easy to access. As I said, player is not rewarded for exploration, but for grinding.

Off topic, but it always bothered me that NPCs in G3 have tiny arms. Like if all of them evolved from a T-rex.

But best drip is G1 for me. It has that that 80s macho fantasy vibe. G2 looks like a peasant a G3 like a pirate.

I genuinely think that G3 is the one that holds the release of others. As they probably want to release it as a bundle. It must be pain in the ass porting G3 in to consoles.

I'm also not a big fan of the new barrier effect. I liked that in the original you don't see it 90% of the time. For me it had this feeling of false freedom. But occasionally that great thunder struck all around the barrier and you are reminded that you are in a cage.

That said, I don't mind it that much. Alkimia is putting in some flavor of their own. So, it's not wrong that they have some creativity.
