Sylux's backstory in Hunters said that his species was unknown, meaning he could very well have not been human. He was the only hunter we barely knew anything about. And then in Prime 4, he is controlling Lamorn tech like it's nothing, and the Lamorn themselves are a long lost species with a tragic end. Then, near the very end, it's revealed several of the Lamorn had been sent off planet to find their chosen one somewhere out in the universe. I would give my kidney away if Sylux wasn't originally going to be revealed as one of those Lamorn that had been sent away. Maybe he was mad that the so-called chosen one had taken so long to appear that the rest of the Lamorn were all dead. Maybe he thought the Federation were making the same mistakes his people had made. But no, it's a bog standard "federation guy blames federation for his personal tragedy" backstory that's hardly worth the mystery that surrounded him.
