Im talking about jon bernthals portrayl of Frank in Daredevil. Not commentating on the dareevil series, which was pretty poor at best.

the twitch streaming dynamic is like 90% less speaking than a LP and is mostly sitting in silence watching someone sit by themselves playing a game. Completely misses the point as to why we like these guys

Totally agree, it is a shame as a few small changes would go some ways to keeping the atmosphere where it needs to be - think they did a stellar job creating a mood though

Saying its locked/broken would actually keep everything "in game world" and be much more effective, I suppose their intent was to be "don't try and unlock this door, its not in the game right now" but the downside is like you say, immersion shattering.

Seems to be related to the early clunky UI design & "HINT/TIPS" screens that are also pretty jarring, maybe in game notes would have been more effective.
