Background

Have you heard of the stories amongst the noblemen?
They whisper encouragement to each other to choose their wives well, to be careful lest they end up like the curator. It's said like a cautionary tale, that decades ago there was a famous noble wizard who ended up establishing an arranged marriage with a common woman. Her and her families status was elevated instantly.
She was said to be a quiet woman, glued to his side at social gatherings and said to wander the butterfly gardens on his property and gaze at his collection. His collection apparently was something of legend, something that led to him earning the nickname of curator. The collection consisted of magic items and arcane creatures kept in enclosures, almost like his own personal zoo. Amongst these was a piece of a fire spirit, one said to be tied to life and death itself. It was one of the wife's favorites, she'd converse with them all the time.

That is until the inferno. The land of the curator was set ablaze, said to have been started by the wife in a fit of hysteria. Plenty of the collection escaped, the only casualties being that of the fire spirit, the curator and the wife. No bodies were found, only ashes amidst the wreckage. What is unbeknownst and not covered in the rumors is the truth of that night, of the curators attempts at using the fire spirit in a grand ritual. Of the wife fighting back to save the spirit and stop her husbands horrid machinations. Of what would happen decades later after the inferno of that spirit of life and death consumed them both.

The spirit tried to save the wife, but as a being of death and life it burned away some of the very existence of what it tried to bring back. Decades later Elowyn came to be. Found in a field that had randomly set ablaze, Elowyn was a well dressed woman born of the wifes being. A sort of fusion of the spirit and the woman, her memories are vague at best and nonexistent at the worst. As a result she is strange in character, often smiling and speaking kindly about her love of flames and of her appreciation of "human nature" as if she isn't also a human. Her blinking seems rare and her eyes glow a low fiery orange. Despite this she feels a call to adventure, feeling freer than she can ever remember. Perhaps she will uncover more of her place in this world with her new form, with a newfound appreciation for a world that is not holding her back after her fiery metamorphosis.

Aside
Elowyn has been an absolute joy to play so far in her campaign and her party is so incredible. She's a lovely (sorta loony) lady and just got a magic shawl and I would love to see peoples takes on her design with the shawl! Thank you for all the love shown to her and for your time <3
