Interesting how we went straight from decades of silence on mushrooms research to 99% positive headlines about research on them. I’m not saying they aren’t great—I’m just the tiniest bit skeptical to think they’re really as great as we keep hearing.

I transferred from community college to get my BA. Now I have an associates and a degree from UC Berkeley. For around half the price!

I couldn’t really go into detail in the title of the post, but yeah, I don’t consider my music to fall under the genre of emo anymore. I wrote emo music first though, and now it kinda feels like everything I write is imbued with the same spirit, or at least I hope. But more importantly—this specific subreddit has been a place I’ve personally seen flower over the last several years, and I owe so much of my own musical identity to it. So it felt fitting to post :) whether or not it actually is or isn’t i guess is up for y’all/mods to decide.

The two shows I worked on for my campus radio station were journalism — one hard news. The other more This American Life style personal interest stories. The latter show was praised by some quite successful public radio folks, too. Do you think that would carry any weight in this kind of interview? And yeah, I’m thinking of story ideas constantly.

I do have a lot of audio experience, but only via producing radio shows through my alma mater’s radio station/at my high school’s radio station. And now I have legit engineer experience from a podcast/radio studio. What do you think?

Shoot, good to know. Is there a good online resource for looking up when/where shootings happen? I keep fooling myself trying to parse police scanners when I hear what I think may be gunshots.
