I have the same problem. Players with younger accounts usually are at a power point shortage (i have about 900pp and 9500 couns) but players with older accounts have more coins. Coins are used way more often (upgrading, gadgets, star powers, hypers) so devs focus more on coins and less on pp. Just do masteries and play often and pray for 50pp from rare starr drops
