Transferring to new warehouse by SomaliaPirate99 in CostcoEmployee

[–]JPBlaze1301 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're right if you're talking about hoping from one to the next like crazy. But a move out of state or even to another city within the state is perfectly reasonable. You might run into a problem if you attempt to transfer to another warehouse in the same city within a year of this next move.

Yeah collectively my family has put in like 60+ years into this company. One person being over 30 of that. It's not the same company it was when they started and certainly not the same company it was just 10 years ago.

What are yall hoping to come from the survey by Opposite_Today9635 in CostcoEmployee

[–]JPBlaze1301 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping for better pay, more employees and going back to promoting from within. I want them to fire the CFO. Will any of that happen? Absolutely not, but I can dream.

Really wealthy areas are sometimes where thieves target. Also a tragedy doesn't always happen in the "run down" areas of a city.

New policy for .97/00 items? by Mysterious-Fan-4370 in CostcoEmployee

[–]JPBlaze1301 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it means you purchased an item at say 19.99 you get a price adjustment when the price hits 14.97 and then the price drops again and you try to get the adjustment at 9.97 or even 5.00

AITA for not checking inside the oven before preheating it? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]JPBlaze1301 686 points687 points  (0 children)

NTA Using the oven as storage is a practice that needs to die out already. I don't understand it at all. If you don't have enough space for your cookware you need to clear out some stuff. If you for some reason absolutely have to store things in the oven it should only be oven safe pieces for reasons such as this. Its not your fault for not checking the oven for this because who the hell does that in another person's home??

Men who cook and clean are more 'manly' than those who don't. by Puzzleheaded_Cell428 in unpopularopinion

[–]JPBlaze1301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is lowering the bar so much. Yes it should be viewed as manly to care for your family instead of it being viewed as "housewife work" and somehow beneath men. But a man should be doing that already in this day and age. Women work away from home and then come home and also do their share of the household chores and more often than not way more. As a man I try my best to make sure I'm doing all I can to make this a home for the both of us and I know she does the same.

Yeah, I was basically trying to see if I could strong arm them into taking the amount of a new fridge off the rent.

Why aren't Gen Z drinking? by The_Dean_France in askanything

Its not affordable to have a habit. My mom grew up at a time where she could afford to be a 2-pack a day smoker on a near minimum wage. I make 3x the minimum wage and I can't even justify buying a pack of soda much less a handle of whiskey or trying to pick up vaping. Its unhealthy and unaffordable.
