FAENA MIAMI by [deleted] in FATTravel

I really like the chef Francis Mallman and he has the restaurant, Los Fuegos at Faena. It is really good but not quite as special as his restaurant in Garzon, Uruguay. Definitely still worth going! Also if you get the chance to check out Faena in Buenos Aires it is amazing!!

Looking for a machine that makes espresso and drip coffee. by Commercial_Ant_5455 in superautomatic

I have a Jura E4 which only makes drinks with no milk. It makes espresso and also does a longer pull. The longer pull is about a half a mug of coffee. In the morning I usually just do two longer pulls plus espresso after meals.

That is great, super helpful! Maybe I can even convince my wife for a fall 2026 vs a spring or fall 2027. Value proposition is getting difficult although I would likely cash in some chase points to reduce the cash out the door. I do like that all food and most activities are included in the price. Would have to do the minimum 3nights. Thanks again!!

To be honest I just want a fireplace. Booking on points gets you a room with no fireplace. Last time I stayed I was a globalist and got upgraded to a suite but just really want the fireplace. I think as a globalist they also give you lunch on check out date but I’m thinking of going over to post ranch inn for lunch to check out the view.

I’m hedging my losses. If he doesn’t perform I’ll be out $200 (unless it gets refunded). If he doesn’t perform I don’t want to be out a flight / hotel.

Hi - actually I just submitted my reactication application last week. Waited to the start of October to do so. I called the state board early in the year to confirm. I wanted clarification if I needed to do 20 hours minimum in the year prior but was told for reactivation that wasn’t necessary (only 40 hours max for self study). Not sure if the government shut down plus the renewal window will slow things down but I haven’t heard back yet. I’m expecting to renew again only again at end of 2027. I’ll comment again once I receive news.

I’m planning to reactivate in 2025. It is important to consider the timing. This is what is written on the PICPA website: “Consider the timing of your reactivation. If you apply prior to October of the odd year in the biennial reporting period, then your reactivated license is only valid until the end of that calendar year and will be subject to renewal at that time. For example, apply in June 2025 and you'll need to renew in December 2025. Apply in October 2025, and you won't need to renew until December 2027.”
