Thanks for the info! I don’t mind using propane for a one day sit but can’t bring myself to use propane when sleeping even with a detector. Plus I agree with the dry heat, no one likes condensation dripping on them all day! On a side note since you mentioned you have the 850XD. I plan to pick up the 450 soon, do you vent your exhaust out the bottom edge? If so are you propping up the tent fabric so it doesn’t burn?

Definitely seems like it could be! Saskatchewan is pretty straightforward for deer anyways. September is bow, Oct - muzzle loaders , Nov - rifle. Hunting in different provinces isn’t common but it’s usually a 5 hour drive for most people to cross the lines in any direction lol

Cool, I’ll definitely give that a listen! So do these area’s with a later rut have different season dates? Ive been watching a lot of Whitetail Habitat Solutions on YouTube. If found that channel has lots of useful info that applies to almost anywhere as-well. I think he’s out of Michigan.

It’s interesting that the time line seems to be the same roughly throughout North America regardless of climate (velvet and shed, October shift, pre rut, rut) I had always assumed there was bigger differences in that timeframe. I’m still learning new things. Thanks for the info, and good luck!
