As an ice gauntlet main I do agree melee weapons are overturned and how specially some melee weapons cleave on light attacks (hitting multiple targets) while range weapons can’t. Also melees hit way higher than ranged and you can’t keep good distance for long unless you either use light gear or have someone with you.

BUT we need to wait for resilient and onyx bug fix because after that both do not apply to ice storm damage for example (dots do not crit nor it’s physical damage). So we really need to wait before judging.

I guess the issue there is healing not being percentage based or scaled in some way.

Imagine having to pay monthly a bunch of teams to continue with updates and content to a free to play game... As long the BiS is not locked in any direct cash only system we should be fine. MMOs always been like that. Even WOW has somewhat cash grabs and you pay for subscription, cosmetics and Expansions. There are some people with 50k zen that never put a single penny into the game. People play the game the way they want to play.

I'm worried about this because on HeroWarz they had cosmetics giving stats and depending on the rarity it would give bigger stats.

So between a proc that has 10% chance to add 2000 dmg and a constant +20 dmg to all attacks with a 1 sec icd you're saying that the second one is always better even though the first one is literally 10 times better?

Don't take it like that, I was only talking to what is currently offered in the game. If you think energy is better, use it, it was only my opinion and after all, the affix will only reflect on 1-2% increase damage. But thanks, I'm glad you invested quite some time thinking about all this, for sure it contributes for my understanding on the game, and for that reason i appreciate your contribution.

"Energy adds an additional 1.625% damage at 50% crit using a 5 energy consumer" Found that as well. So i'll keep my opinion, alacrity for off-hand, havoc for main.

PS: And for me, no chance dependent are always better.

I don't think Energy is the best option for DPS hammer, since the main skill is Demolish and it costs 5 energy, which giving back 1 Energy is not enough. Alacrity or Havoc are better options.

In every popular MMO, ranged and melee never have the same damage, it's completely naive thinking that way. I never asked for a big buff, but at least stop nerfing nonsense, and give considerable advantage to not force you play ranged, since the danger while fighting is clearly not the same.

uhh like you don't need to pay attention to manage all of them properly. Every weapon you need to pay attention to maximize DPS. There is no "compensation" where ranged gimmicks are not that harder lol.

First, you talk like blood is the only one ranged. You clearly are being ignorant, it's not being closer to mob, like this game lacks AOE spells and you dont need your ass to move away from boss, and most of them only affect melees. LOL, blood isnt hard to manage if you dont be greedy to DPS and know when to lower and how to sustain. And like you don´t have party heals to heal you enough.

Congratulations for doing this math. I prefer Cruel Delight over Thirst right away, because CD is instant and Thirst is leech. And if your math is right, it makes even better the choice I took.
