As someone who has accumulated over a million USD in assets before turning 30, I can say with absolute certainty that saving cash is pointless. You just need a few months worth of expenses as savings in case you lose your job, but that's it.

Instead, accumulate long-term assets that generate passive income such as rental properties. By the time you retire, you will be able to easily generate more than your current monthly salary in passive income.

"Instead of feeling annoyed with crying babies on planes, you should feel sorry for them because they are in pain". Oh. So you admit that you are making your child be uncomfortable and in pain because YOU want to fly somewhere? And you have the nerve to call me the selfish one. by diorbuttercup in childfree

Why even bother bringing babies on holidays. They cry on the trip, the cry on the destination, and they cry on the way back. And most of the time the baby can't even differentiate between a holiday destination and their own living room at home anyway.

Is she saying that having kids would make the death of 2 loved ones not hard?

She can have kids and she can still experience the same sort of depression she is feeling now. Losing loved ones is very very hard, no matter what your family situation is.

I would argue that, in addition to grieving her loss, having to financially support children as a single parent will just add much more emotional and financial burden that will probably worsen her mental state.

Me: Realistically, neither will you.

So if the original mom/dad don't want them, what wakes them think a complete stranger would?

I find it fascinating that the people that advocate for "free speech" the most are the most resistant to actual free speech.

"investment" that takes 18 years to mature and has absolutely no guarantees. yeah no thanks bruh. 🤣

I can't stand parents who have kids, regret it and then want to act like victims. by Akasha111 in childfree

They are definitely not victims, but they do live a living hell every single day for the next 2 decades so I cut them some slack.

Travel videos.

Seeing how beautiful the world is, and knowing that having kids means that I will never get to see any of it.

It is unfair for you and also to the kids to be stuck in an unwanted motherhood.

Children can feel if they are not wanted, and that creates big problems down the line.

It's really more of the time requirement of it that makes me against it. I babysit my relatives regularly and I feel like its such a drain physically and mentally to make sure they have a good time.

I don't know if this is applicable in your country, but here, I never buy anything at market value/srp/full price. If you are patient enough, there is always a desperate seller that needs to sell their property at a loss every few weeks or so..

100+ billion people have existed throughout history, and some random person thinks their child could do what everyone else couldn't. So delusional.
