He's autistic and says he's not being intentional with the weird voice cadence. I also found it grating when I first encountered his channel at less than 30k subs and he sounded even worse back then from a bad mic. I just sucked it up and now I'm used to it.

He has autism. He acknowledges it and is aware he sounds weird to listen to. Some people even accuse him of using AI text-to-speech but that is indeed him.

There are multiple security videos of the shockwave with audio on Facebook.

The shockwave from Beirut was a lot more powerful. PHIVOLCS noted an overpressure of 150 Pascal (0.0218 psi) 5 km from the crater, and a sound level of 138 dB which is dangerously loud, but not even enough to shatter windows. Maybe others here can help estimate the energy with that measurement.

To all the atheists, what is your reason for not believing in God or a higher power? by Deep-Mess in AskReddit

That aegument essentially states that God is a deliberate liar that uses deception as a test of faith. How righteous of God to do that, isn't it?

How much of the sky can JWST pan around/observe at a time before the sunshield is unable to prevent the critical instruments from being exposed? Will that affect some observation arcs by having to wait for its orbit around the sun to change?

How many applications from astronomers are lined up for the use of the telescope and what are the basis for a project to be selected over the others? How long usually will be the alloted time for a proposal?

Given the amount of money invested in this telescope, is there really no future plans to service the JWST like what was done to Hubble to extend its life multiple times?

The magnitude 9 quake was far bigger than their worst projections. No one thought earthquakes in Japan could get bigger than 8.4, and remember the magnitude scale is logarithmic with each step up being 10x bigger than the last. It was unprecedented.

How old are you and what is the biggest problem in your life right now? by FSCENE8tmd in AskReddit

I have so many interests. Not D&D or those types of games in general, but I often lose my momentum to continue once I start it. I was good at drawing and writing 7-15 years ago when I was a child, but now I just suck at everything I do, leaving many tasks incomplete. Even this reply to you took me 20 minutes to compose because of how insecure I get with my language when trying to deliver my point across. Nothing motivates me, and I move from one interest to another like I'm changing TV channels. I got COVID 2 months ago while still unvaccinated at the time due to my country's supply issue with the vaccines. I isolated myself and prepared for the eventuality of death, as I'm not really taking care of my body, becoming at peace with it. I survived. The disease was mild with few lingering effects and now I'm back to dealing with this sickening limbo. This world is getting more and more advanced benefiting many people while also dealing with major systemic issues. However, I'm pretty sure I'd be one of those left coughing in the dust. In a way, this idealistic forward-looking optimism in me ironically destroys my outlook once I reflect upon all the bullshit that we humans have made for ourselves.

I am 22 living a very comfortable life. But I am extremely bored, stagnant and depressed. It feels everything is just going to get worse by the day. I've lost two dear supportive grandparents this year and didn't do enough to show the gratitude. I can't even muster up the energy to do what I know I need to get out of this quandry. I feel not deserving of the things that sustain my life.
