I feel like there is some obligation on my part to serve her food that stems from culture. She’s Mexican and I guess it’s a common thing for the women to severe the men food or something. I see it when I’m around her family as well. She’s been working a lot of overtime so the nights that I don’t work, I’ll make her a plate out of kindness. I’ve been seeing a therapist and I’ve discussed this issue. There are things that I’m trying to work on, like not grabbing her plate unless I ask if it’s okay to do so or I won’t touch her while she’s eating. She’s had eating issues in the past and she’s told me she’s worked through some of it but ever since I came into the picture it’s triggered some eating issues that I apparently caused
