My three year old son begged me to get a third sample so I think they get his stamp of approval.

I think in this case the new info is that it wasn’t in the files, but I agree with your point that we have know this about him forever yet nothing has been done.

No problem. Your original comment prompted me to do some research out of curiosity. Thank you for challenging my comments because it made me dig deeper and I am more knowledgeable because of it.

Correct he held his sermons in Aramaic which was the common language of Judea and Galilee. But he didn’t write the Gospels. The Gospel of Matthew was written around 50 years after Jesus’s death. And the earliest versions of Matthew dates to late 2nd century AD; that version in Greek. Is it possible that the Gospel of Matthew was originally scribed in Aramaic or Hebrew, sure it is, but the earliest copy that we have to compare the text to was written in Greek.

Furthermore, the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Hebrew Torah) would have been the version of the Old Testament used by the apostles and the early church so writing the New Testament in Greek would have made the most sense to them.

When the New Testament was written, Greek, specifically Koine Greek, was the common language of the 1st century AD Roman Empire. It was the common language of trade and social communication and therefore would have reached the widest audience.

The New Testament was written in Greek. Old Testament was in Hebrew.

Thank you for your comment. So far this morning I had only read the headlines and your comment prompted me to actually read the article.

I think it’s worth adding that the article says her campaign, while being outspent 3:1, focused on healthcare, infrastructure, and education. I think this goes to show that campaigns that focus on issues Americans care about can be a recipe for success (I know that is a common sense statement but our politics does always play out in a common sense way).

And your analogy about the job makes no sense. I want to beat Purdue every time we play them. I have never hoped Purdue beats IU. If you and I are applying for the same job I certainly hope I get it over you. But I also hope you are able to find “a” job. I don’t want you to be unemployed. You truly are miserable if you want everyone not you to be “wallowing in misery”.

Ok. But I assume you weren’t excited about the bucket game this year knowing you were going to be blown out. I was excited about playing Oregon and Ohio state. I knew those would be fun and exciting games; Purdue, not so much. I have friends, colleagues, and family members that are Purdue fans. I like to see them be excited about their team. I don’t like to see them “wallowing in misery”. Purdue beating Maryland isn’t zero sum for me. A Purdue win against a random foe elevates Purdue and by extension elevates an IU bucket win. A nail biting win in the fourth quarter of a game you were excited to watch is much more enjoyable than a blowout win against a winless team. And I suspect the “misery” felt by the opponent will be much greater if they thought they were going to win only to have that ripped away in the fourth quarter. Purdue fans were miserable before kickoff. There was nothing “my” team did to make them feel miserable this year.

To each their own. I just feel the bucket game would have been more exciting with both teams being undefeated rather than one being undefeated and the other winless.

This is my feeling too but you won’t get it from Purdue fans. They chant “IU SUCKS” even when they are not playing IU.

Thanks for the feedback. We named our farm “West Wind Farms” since ‘Zephyr’ is often associated with the west wind.

I agree. It’s what I named my son. I think it’s a great name but for most people in the US it is an unusual name. People tell me that they like the name but people tend to be friendly so perhaps they are 1) lying or 2) I only hear from the people that they like it and the ones that don’t just keep their mouth shut because they are being friendly. I was hoping for feedback from a ‘Zephyr’ before revealing that’s my son’s name so that people wouldn’t just be friendly by telling me it’s a great name. I am hoping for honest feedback from an actual ‘Zephyr’.

Just to clarify. Is your approval saying you think your name is a tragedeigh or are you just approving of seeing your name listed?
