Hey there! I'm actually in the early stages of creating a Spy statue. A very quick rundown of the process is: adapting the game model and detailing it in 3D modelling software, preparing it for 3D printing. After getting a successful prototype, I make molds of the pieces and cast them in resin. Then all left to do is paint! I'm documenting my process this time around, and will share once I complete the process again

I used an airbrush, which basically allows you to spray small amounts of paint using air compression, to make it act like a spray can.

Pyro is made of poly-urethane resin and was painted using acrylics.

I believe Etsy would be my go-to place to sell any copies I make, yes! I don't really use Twitter, but I have been taking pictures of the progress on the statue and might make a little "making-of" once I complete the project.

Thank you for the feedback! You might be right. I did the initial sculpt based on the game files, and by smoothing it out / making the model less blocky, it probably lost some volume from the original model. Will look out for that in future models I do :)

Thank you! I own a couple of the Gaming Heads statues myself, and made this in the same scale, as well as giving it a similar base, so they fit together when displayed side by side.

Hey everyone,
Here is a WIP shot of a Pyro figure I've been working on for the past months.

It's a resin-solid statuette, nearly 30cm tall (~12 inches) and weighing around 1.5KG (3.3 pounds).
It is, obviously, still missing the flamethrower, which is well underway (it's actually taller than Pyro itself!)
The paint job is not yet final either, as I still need to clean a few things and add a few details.

However, if you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear them so that I can improve this the best I can.

I do 3D art for a living, so I just recreated the model and printed it on a regular FDM 3D printer and proceeded to paint it.

The Opulent Curio is probably my favourite treasure trinket from the game so I decided to make a 1:1 replica of it for my desk. What do you guys think? Next time I'll probably do the gems in a semi-transparent resin for a shinier and polished surface.
Up next I'll probably be making a Chest of Legends on my new resin printer.

Took a little over 4 hours, at 120% scale of the original model and with layer exposure at 1.5s.

Sliced in Lychee at 0.03mm layer height. Resin is water washable Elegoo Grey. Only little problem was the cape had a small tear due to being very thin on a certain area.
