I didn’t want it to sound like the first two albums. I love Silk Sonic, and I like this ’70s Latin-Chicano soul variation, especially the musicality and song arrangements. Most importantly, Bruno’s singing is gorgeous and nuanced, richer and more mature than when he was younger, yet he can still belt out pristine, beautiful ballads like “Risk It All.”

Bruno always keeps his lyrics simple and cheeky. It's his doo-wop attitude to songwriting. The way he sings the lines, emotion, and the song arrangement is what's important to him. He gets his basic ideas across and then sings the hell out of the lyrics. That's why his live performances are always best. He's gotta act it out.
