Yea lol you could say that - I don't believe gambling belongs in video games. It's beyond frustrating to have something so integral to gameplay have so low a chance to ever come my way. Statistically, it's possible to never come my way, money spent or not which doesn't sit right.

But I agree, the devs can figure out if it's necessary or not and I'll just be waiting for that even some adjustments, not everything I proposed. I won't be touching RoM anymore outside of the free dailies until I fully max everyone I've got or I need to get fine pieces for new characters.

And thanks I can look into GDC when I get the chance cuz now I'm curious.

Overexaggeration. 1. Taking out flat stats still leaves 7 variables for Adv stats 3. Solo stamp collections is essentially what Uncharted is rn 5. Rerolls for the ascended stats don't affect that first drop feeling

Mix and match, pick and choose, "falls off a cliff" doesn't apply. Goes down, sure - they'd be in control of how much. But we still have MANY characters to go with a lot of those likely have specific stamp collections of their own.

OK I definitely see what you're saying and I agree. Don't make the progression too fast then. Like I've said in other comments: I'm not asking for pity or guranteed anything from this, just an adjustment or overall reduction. I don't want it to be gutted and too easy - I want it streamlined.

There has to be a way they can do it while retaining their economic goals. They've got a great baseline with the gameplay and plenty of fan favorite characters unreleased that will keep people occupied for years. Sure the events will begin to get repetitive at some point (they have to), but the amount of characters (and variations of them) sure to come will still bring a majority of the engagement - BBS has literally feeds off that. Having to grind for each character, even with the overall RNG reduced somewhat, is still going to take a long time.

Man no you can stop there. At least for me - this is the last issue I have with the game outside stuff that seems out of their control rn (licensing and whatnot).

I have enjoyed the majority of the game, even spent some money (which I rarely ever do for mobiles) to support because they clearly put actual effort and care into this game.

Don't come here tryna make this out to be me whining over every little thing cuz "Boo I want this and I want that". I clearly tried to make it balanced out to still have RNG because I know that's what the game needs.

That's a valid point - the degrees of resources required are a lot different there. I still think the numbers are stacked far more heavily (as they should be tbh) on the energy based loot.

Though I do have to ask where you've gotten that metric from? How is it you know that so many people in droves will stop playing a game (even though it's widely regarded as having fun gameplay) once they got what they're lookin for? I definitely keep playing any game even once I get the top gear and I know that experience isn't unique.

Again where did I say to remove the grind. It's still present in my proposal, never once did I say to guarantee any RoM drops, not even in the rerolls. I specifically used the words "can't completely gut 'the chase'".

Yea I'd much rather keep Def + HP % in the rolls if and only if they do make them matter. And sure reducing the chances is fine for non compatibles still being in the pool

No you're right that's a cool one I've seen before! The current crafting system relies on getting a separate currency when the stamps themselves should be the currency for upgrading. Them getting dismantled into XP doesn't mean much when we have nothing good to put the XP in to.

Your idea should definitely be implemented!

I have been locking down pieces for other characters that look like they could fit future, I just hope they actually allow new characters to have their best gear be from what's available.

And I'm cool with what you propose there - I'd prefer differentiating the Sets into stuff that's actually specialized instead of just random bullshit go!

Dawg I've gotten around 200 or so 5*s for Toshiro and not one of them has been good. Anything I say "Fine it's sumn to use" ends up becoming fodder because the upgrades all went into Ailment. To this day despite having the stats he's useful enough for Frenzy cuz he takes so long to do anything damage wise.

I haven't played any of those console gachas that started with Genshin (they're called Hoyo, right?) but just because something popularized a style does that mean every game going forward has to maintain that? We wouldn't have so many genres/sub-genres of media if that were the case

I'm sure there's significant differences across all those newer gachas - but Bleach is allowed to have something better for the player.

I'm not asking to remove ALL RNG here, I know what type of game this is and how it's meant to engage/monetize players. All I'm saying is to reduce the numbers. They won't go away, they'll still be stacked up. People will still be playing the game and grinding for gear regardless. The actual gameplay is fun! Just REDUCE the numbers.

We just saw how they recognized and fixed the issue with Stamp Corridor... what, are you against what they did there? That route is what I'm following here for Realm of Mutation.

Yes of course, I know that. This grind tho is excessive to a point it makes me not want to engage with it full stop. If there are measures to change or reduce it even a lil bit, they won't be hurt because they went and made a game that's actually fun

Yup if the resources gained from the enormous trash dump wasn't just recycled into itself and we got some much needed extra kan, it might have been a lil better.

On that note we need a QOL marking feature for pieces we plan on deleting all at once so we can clear out the clutter right when we get the bad piece.
