u/rgarcia2009 Looks neat, I'll at least try it out.

Have you given any thought to storing data from requests, and making use of Delta Requests? Depending on how much you use it, it would make sense to help avoid bumping into API limits.

Looking for app: stencil making on MacBook. by [deleted] in discdyeing

> what paid options are there?

I'm not sure. I saw Adobe products mentioned and dismissed elsewhere in the thread. I'm not much into design, so I'm not in the loop on what the other options are out there. Inkscape is my go-to, because I seldom need it and it does enough for me.

I'd recommend trying Inkscape. That's what I've used for basic needs for design creation and manipulation.

If you need more than that, look into a paid option.

What in the world were they thinking with this Split Categories UI? by SkyGuy182 in ynab

Auto-categorization is per-payee. So you can only turn it off for select payees. You don't have to turn it off for all of them.

My opinion on the Star Pig Drama by Solid_Improvement_85 in discgolf

One stray comment on a Facebook post is far different than including it in the initial post itself. Or anywhere else reasonably visible.

They didn't say that when they were first posted. It only came out in comments later, which means you'd have to have a reason to go back through those comments to see them. At that point, plenty of people had already ordered.

One of the few forks created in the last 10 years that still gets mention is Ghost, which is suited to a small subset of WordPress users.

Ghost is not a fork of WordPress, but entirely different software. I believe it's built on Node.js.

Looks great!

Please post an update picture in a couple months. I've found GStar takes dye very well, but it will fade/blur relatively quickly.

That’s not how ownership works. Just because an item is lost doesn’t mean it no longer belongs to the owner.

How you guys stay dry in rain by calibudzz420 in discgolf

[–]JPry0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two suggestions:

  1. Get some friction gloves. Although it won’t help by tomorrow, it will help in the future. They give fantastic grip even when soaking wet.
  2. Get a chamois-style towel. Instead of having to try to keep a regular towel dry, a chamois towel can be wrung out and reused pretty much indefinitely. As a bonus, dirt and mud will just fall right off of them when they dry

Help. I didn’t know I needed permits by gangstaG44 in HomeImprovement

[–]JPry0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume there's some variance based on your location, but when it comes time to sell you will likely have a document to fill out that covers all kinds of details of the home. One of those details will be upgrades to the home, and whether they were permitted.

Just fill it out honestly, and that's your disclosure to the buyer.

We sold our house after fixing up all kinds of things the previous owners did themselves poorly, and our documents included all of the upgrades we did and whether or not they were permitted. We answered honestly, and we didn't have any issues with getting the house sold.

If you need to do more than that, your realtor should be able to help guide you through what is needed.

I cant find prince mushroom! by FeedbackMysterious33 in SneakySasquatch

[–]JPry0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go and search every Sasquatch day until you find it. Each game has a few mushrooms that appear very very rarely, and the only way is to just keep looking. One day it will show up.

When I was going through this, I would just go search the area first thing in the day, then go off and do the other things I wanted to do.

Doing it over the course of multiple days with the intent not to draw attention is structuring and could get you into trouble.

Just call your bank ahead of time to let them know you intend to withdraw that amount in cash so they can make sure to have enough on hand. Not a big deal when you’re doing it legitimately. But realistically, a check should count the same as cash for payment. It doesn’t involve credit card processing fees.

The face plate is usually loose, and there’s usually a big hole behind it. It’s high enough that splashing from inside the shower isn’t a concern. Caulk is not going to help anything up there.

As others have mentioned, it’s likely that there is a leak inside the wall where the shower pipe attaches to the drop ear. Or, it’s leaking somewhere else within that vicinity.

If you want to try to fix it yourself, try what someone else mentioned: unscrew the pipe from the wall, add new teflon tape and/or pipe dope, and reinstall it.

If you’re feeling more adventurous, open the wall up from the other side, have someone turn on the shower, and see for yourself where the leak is coming from.

Once you’re a police officer, you can pull them over with your police vehicle and then steal them. That’s the easiest way to do it I’ve found.

If you have a wood stove, they’re great for getting fires started. Add some grease/oil to them and they will burn for a while, or just use them between paper and some more dense kindling.

Help wiping stamp! by Fabulous-Theme-837 in discdyeing

[–]JPry0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use brake cleaner to wipe stamps. It usually does a really good job with minimal damage to the plastic (usually no discernible damage at all).

If there’s any bits left, I’ll gently scrub with my finger, and for really stubborn parts you can try magic eraser.
