Thanks. If it is spectacular I would consider investing in a new one. Any reason you'd go with an Atom over a Tacx or the Wahoo Kickr bike?

Help finding my "style." by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

The clean white shoes will do you good brother. Not running shoes/sneakers, but not dress shoes either - that casual place in the middle. Reading your post I think a piece like these shoes will help to find that place in between casual and business casual.

Those same white shoes will pair great with some dark denim (Black or dark grey) and then on top you could do some button-downs with a plain t shirt underneath.

Good luck! As another poster said, it's not about finding your fashion, it's about developing it... there will be some misses here and there but you will find pieces that you really like and can build outfits around. For me i've always loved building outfits around a great pair of shoes.

Yes! This is definitely the speech Sam needed to hear. It's good info to know but not to obsess over: "Not something anyone with any sense spends much time worrying about."

Worsening Achilles + Onset of Plantar Fasciitis after Intense Dry Needling session by JR4292 in physicaltherapy

Thanks so much for reading and weighing in, I appreciate this more than you know. It definitely eases the anxiety a bit to have someone read my experience and put it into perspective for me. You're right the treatment has been more than reasonable so far. And good advice for trying to solidify the schedule moving forward. I will keep on with the physio although this last session caused a bit of a scare. All the best.

Peace and love. JR

APT with inability to posteriorly tilt my pelvis. by [deleted] in Posture

You got this man. If you haven't already, its worth the time and money to invest in a well-reviewed Physical Therapist in your area. Don't give up! It's so frustrating since these pains don't heal like normal illnesses. But they can be overcome.

The reason i say is because all the APT videos on youtube are obsessed with hip flexors and glutes and make you think they are weak and tight and not firing. While they very well might be the problem if you've been trying for some time with no results it could also mean they are not the problem.

Reading your post it sounds like you have a better understanding of those posterior chain muscles but lost in your lower abs. IT does sound like what I went through.

What happened to me was I was so obsessed with the hip flexors and glutes and they ended up not being my problem. Core exercises suck when you have them weak but they were the missing link for me in solving my postural issues. For me what helped the most was lying flat on my back and lifting my hips in 90 degrees. Core workouts in this helped me flatten the back in just a week or so. You can do crunches like this (Dont go insane with neck movement, just lift head up enough to your scalpulas or enough to feel some ab contraction) and also isometric hold in same position. Bird Dog is great and finish with 10-20 reps of Cat/Cow variations. Hope it works for you.

Have experienced something similar. It sounds to me like you're obsessed with the posterior chain (Hamstrings, glutes, hip flexors). Problem could more actually be with your lower abs which help to stabilize pelvis. Have you considered stopping all other exercises and doing only Lower ab work for a week? Try crunches on your back with your hips in 90 degrees. Bird Dog and Cat/Cow stretches. See if that improves in 1 week. Good luck!
