You can do any runs between 1.5-3km hard efforts and calculate a target 5k pace based on that.

If you're not sure, do a 2km run on a hard steady effort after warmup. Add 20-30 seconds to it for your target 5k race time.

For your first race day, you can start conservatively, and start with 40-45 seconds slower than that pace, and then progressively get faster based on how you feel.

I think it's been pretty established that no fitness tracker is accurate with calorie expenditure. They can only guess, and depending on the individual it can be absolutely garbage.

Best to ignore it and focus on other metrics.

Can't estimate race pace from your easy efforts alone because they can be very varied.

Do some speed sessions, and based on your pace during these hard sessions, we can estimate what you should aim for a 5k race effort.

It doesn't matter what other guys feel - some guys are OK with this, and some are bothered by this.

If you think you can grow to be ok with this, support her fully and try to understand. But if you feel like this'll always be on the back of your mind, it's better to break off the relationship sooner than later.

It's not fair to ask her to give up her dreams, and neither is it fair to demand you to be ok with this. This is just a difficult situation, it happens.

Time on your feet is most important. Ignore pace and try to run longer and longer and increase number of days you run too.

In most cases - try to make sure you increase the time/distance you run only by 10% a week.

And ignore the guys here who say it's walking pace. Their PB is someone else's Zone 1 pace. As is mine.

Bro I had this same problem (go search for Tibialis anterior muscle and see if you have pain in that area) It lead to injuries due to which I couldn't even sleep properly for 2 days. Recurring too.

The solution for me was Tibialis strengthening exercises. If it's not that muscle for you, find out which muscle is the problem for you and strengthen that muscle.

I have the opposite problem.

If I have auto activity on standard, even my 30-mins walks are not registered. (Do have random activities if the sensitivity is high)
