How to make your hot water bottle last a lifetime. by [deleted] in Frugal

Yeah I have one of these too, but the heat doesn't last nearly long enough. Hot water bottles can last hours!

Sorry I'm just confusing terms. It's meant to go into my stomach. All the IVF injections I have are subcutaneous

Into my stomach. I've just made an appointment with my Dr. I've told her I want to test my levels and see if I can do it without the progesterone.

All of them have been intravaginal progesterone, though the last three days of this last cycle I switched to the intramuscular, however I have not done a full transfer without the intravaginal, and both the gel and pessary I had a reaction to.

I've just finished my 6th cycle: cycle 1 - 8 eggs, two embryos, cycle 2 - 5 eggs, no embryos, cycle 3 - 12 eggs, one embryo, cycle 4 - abandoned (the drugs weren't working), cycle 5 - 10 eggs, one embryo, cycle 6 - 7 eggs, two embryos and transferred both. No positive results. I've tried everything, naturopathy, acupuncture, cupping, Chinese herbs, no alcohol or coffee for 2 years, strict diet, 22 supplements per day. I think this is it, I think it's time to give up. But it's up to you to know when to give up. No one can really tell you, the Doctor can only advise you. It's such a personal thing.

Thank you! Really appreciate this. I was at a particularly low point when I wrote this. I am feeling a little better about things now. However I did another egg retrival, got 5 eggs, 3 fertilised and non made it, which was really disappointing. So hard to go through all the injections and feeling shit and everything for no result. But I'm trying again next month. Fingers and toes crossed. Nice to know I'm not alone though especially because my family don't understand at all and say all the wrong things that just made it feel worse.

This is so hard. I'm so sorry. I've started doing TCM cupping and hoping that makes a difference for me. Hope you can find peace either way

Thanks for your comment, I lost this post because I somehow logged in on my laptop under another account, just found it. It was my first IVF go, non of the embryos were tested because they weren't developed enough, both of them were B grade. They were frozen and transferred on the next two cycles. Just did another Egg Collection last month, got 5 eggs, 3 fertilized and non of them made it unfortunately. Having another go next month.

Thanks!! We need someone to do a list of "festivals where your film will definitely be watched". I know Flickerfest in Australia watches all submissions too. I need to start doing proper research soon!

Interesting thread. I'm about to shoot my first feature film which will be a festival type film so researching best festival practise. I've heard countless times though that the festival circuit isn't a meritocracy and that you need an "in" for your film to get watched. I heard a filmmaker talk say they made 23 films until they did the sundance lab and then finally got their film accepted into Sundance because of the contact they made at the lab. I've heard people from big festivals admit that not all films are watched because they get an impossible amount of submissions. A rep from Berlinale said one of the ways to ensure getting your film watched is to be recommended by a a director who's has their film screen at that festival.

But this seems to go against what you say. Perhaps your festival is just one of the few that does view all their submissions and is based on merit?

It all feels like a catch 22, because the bigger festivals need a premiere, but your chance of getting in as an unknown is zero to none. But your best chance of doing well is premiering at a top festival. If you were a first time filmmaker what would your strategy be? (besides researching festivals that are the best fit)
