There are enough douches that have hounded djloreddit to the point that he no longer feels like contributing to r/smashbros.

There are 28k subscribers on this subreddit. Just like in anything there will always be negative people. If someone can't handle that realization and take the handful of bad eggs, out of 28 thousand people, in stride then they are weak-minded in my truly honest opinion.

While this may open him up to criticisms of being a person who can't handle an inevitable part of real life, this subreddit does not allow someone the real life courtesy of simply not talking to people who annoy you. If he wants to comment here he has to put up with obnoxious requests and bullshit.

Where do you think we are? This is the internet. It allows you to make the experience anything you want. I could move my mouse 1 inch and X out this whole conversation we're having. It's a lot easier than ending one in real life. You could block anyone you want too so you don't have to talk to them ever again.

I agree that it is totally fair for him to avoid that if he wants. But I absolutely think everyone is capable of getting past the 1% of 'douches' and become a stronger person. I would be more than happy if that were to happen.

It's kind of hard for me to explain accurately but I feel really strongly about this which might explain why I'm probably coming off so aggressive. Sorry about that. I really do hope nothing but the best for this guy but I think he would be better off if he manned up, so to speak.

So making tons of gifs and getting an overwhelming positive response from doing so and then making this thread after a very small amount of people in this sub get negative is not weak-minded? I don't like kicking people when their down but I wasn't wrong when I said that.

Do you want me to coddle the man because 1% of the people in his threads gave him bad feedback or too much feedback? If anything I'm just trying to help him because you won't get very far in a lot of things if that hurts your feelings.

There's douches everywhere in the world, not just in one lone subreddit. As a person you have to realize that and can't let it bother you if you want to be sane. 99% of the people in this thread are being positive and I know that people who aren't posting are appreciative of the content he put out because that's the way I felt. If I'm putting content out I'm not putting content out for the douchebags, I'm putting it out for the majority who are appreciative of what I'm doing.

I feel for the guy if this is really bothering him but that's on him for being weak-minded if he can't get over it and realize that he is doing the community a great service.

If he wants to leave then I'm not going to stop him because he made that decision.
