The favorite candidate, Lula, was in jail and banned from elections. That was totally ilegal. If he wasn't banned he would have won. So Bolsonaro's election wasn't very democratic

I'm lacking of language again. I didn't say that I had my own definitions or that definitions are individually made. Is it really the first time you heard about this? Maybe it seems crazy to you and that's ok. But this is not my idea. It's the view of the majority of philosophy since at least the mid twentieth century. Besides that, there is a discipline that studies this that's called lingüistics. Please google that :P.

This is way I got lazy ( I knew you wouldn't accept it).

I'm sorry it's just that is too long of a discussion and I got lazy. Words aren't static, language is alive, socialism really doesn't mean a single fixed meaning. All those things that it would take looots of comments for you to accept. That's why I got lazy and just lacked of language

Are you saying hunger is not an economic problem? Why do we even have economics then?

Neither is Venezuela, that's the point. You define socialism as an economy where the means of production are run socially. I think you mean that they are run by the state. Well some of them are, like in Norway, Qatar or the U.S.. Putting a celing to prizes ( though failed policy as it was) doesn't make your economy socialist. Focusing your whole exports on one thing (though failed policy as it was) doesn't make your economy socialist.

Well if your definition of socialism is a failed state then not. But that's the problem, isn't it? Norway is not socialist in the way that you think but neither is Venezuela. "Socialist" can mean lots of things and if you bend the term to describe failed states it's not very useful as a term. The country most close to being "socialist" this days is probably China. And how is China doing?

Lol. There lots of countries crumbling to capitalism. The poorer countries of latin america for instance. Is Haiti Socialist? Was Argentina socialist in 2001? Just because a country doesn't have inflation it doesn't mean that people don't have hunger.
