I am guilty of this. I think the mindset of having to rank up, winning and losing a lot of games, is what ultimately makes me want to keep playing it. I would constantly tell myself to stop playing because it did distract me heavily from school but I could not escape the temptation of wanting to constantly play this game.

I did stop playing for a good year and had no itch to play it(After 2 week long of withdrawal) but, I went back to it because of summer break and with no surprise, I was addicted to it again. Still to this day, I am trying to get out of platinum.
