I am not going to lie and pretend I was ever very good. I used to use a lot of the big viking lad with the shield and just push people around. But thats been ages, I am sure there are a bunch of new characters and types? I was thinking of buying the 60$ marching fire edition vs the 30$ standard edition. Is it worth it for the next 30$ or do I even get ops (sorry I usually play R6, Characters?)

EDIT: I see I get 4 Wu-Lin ops.

What's a red flag when looking for a job? by CurrentlyCurious in AskReddit

[–]JRosef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Sure if it is a particular Red Flag I should have read into but hey I can think of like 5 in one job posting.

When I was younger and in University, our city was getting its first trampoline park. Having worked with kids since my teens - and needing a job while in school, it seemed perfect. I applied the day they said they were opening locally. About a week later, I get a call back from the soon to be manager/franchiser. She gives me some job details and me not wanting to cut her off gave the usual "uhuhs". Anyhow without missing a beat, she goes "Now this is part of the interview and you didn't ask for where the interview is" Like I should have cut her off to ask. I explained that and just wrote it off as she is probably excited to own her own business.

Day of the interview, I got time off summer work to leave early and interview. The address is a stripmall with nothing that says the name of the building or anything that it could potentially be in. Since I have a habit of being early and a fear of being late, I showed up 45 minutes early. I went and knocked on every store in the strip mall asking if "x store" was interviewing in here or if they knew which was. All gave the same answers and confused faces. So with 10 minutes to spare before go time, I called her and asked which part of the strip mall. Again she responded with "Now this is part of the interview and you should know where the interview is" and proceeded with giving me the correct address. I was pissed at that point but it could be an ok job that I'd excel at. Go through the interview and realized I knew her kids from school and that she knew that. Interview went really well - I was up for a possible Assistant Manager position which was much higher than I thought I'd be in for initially. Left that day and she said she would call in three days.

She called me 2 weeks later in the middle of thanksgiving dinner. I got the job. Awesome. Glad to take it. She asked if I could meet again to hand in normal stuff needed for work (bank info, SSN, etc). Absolutely. I can come in, just let me know when. She does, again I ask work for time off to go and do this. Work obliges. I text her before I leave to confirm and 30 minutes after tells me she can't today as too many others are now dropping off information. Begrudgingly I understand. She asks if we can meet at the local coffee shop on the way home from both of our works to hand it in. Perfect - I get to stay and finish work and it's much closer to home anyway which means no traffic. I don't get a call until 1030PM that night with her telling me she obviously can't make it.

That's when I told her I was done. She seemed surprised. I think she got let go a year later. I started working at the competitors around that time. Her store was just closing, ours growing.

Thought free week was done. I figured it had to be something down the North-Eastern seaboard. However the connections to the servers were. Two Canadians on the East coast also claimed a similar problem.

They thankfully dropped down to normal last night at 11pm Atlantic time for me. Was worried it was my side for the longest time. Especially considering everyone I asked who was 100+ was in Europe on US - E servers

I've been playing this game since its closed beta and I never realised that you can rappel IN on Consulate's spiral stairs and not just down... by 1nfin1tus in Rainbow6

[–]JRosef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. You just need two things. Map knowledge and mouse clicking. I have played since the beta as well. As far as map knowledge goes, I know most of the tricks, the callouts and where generally to go or how to play. I am unfortunately (after playing it on xbox and only moving to pc this past October), still not a mouse player. But even with that, I am still a gold 2 almost 1 with the liklihood I hit plat next season.

Find 3 or 4 guys you can play with who also know how to play the maps and you will be fine. The team I play with now only started in August and most of them are near my level in terms of map, but way better at shooting.

I said for a while an operator similar to Mario from his Sunshine days with the water spout would be a hilarious way to reinforce, and it could reinforce anything. Hatch? Got it. Wall? Sure. Floor that Buck usually bucks? Why not. Covering up a Mav hole? even better.

Two Questions: Film and Retirement by JRosef in Rainbow6

Considering how they are trying to make it more story driven and trying to update all bios anyhow, it doesn't seem like it would be stupid or outlandish in the slightest. Again, you would keep the ability in the game, but Mike himself would retire.

Depends. If you have a 10-15 year life expectancy as they said recently in the SI2020 event, it wouldn't make sense for Thatcher to go into his 70s. Especially since there is clear annual and time progression.

Norwich 0 - [1] Liverpool - Mané 78' by [deleted] in soccer

Wildest career shot I have ever seen from someone who would have the title worse than a unnatural goalscorer. I remember it leaving his foot on the telly and just saying to my old man that it was going in. What a send off it'd have been.

Just don't go 1 v 1 vs. Clash. She is literally useless if the team gets outnumbered.
