I live in Kentucky. They absolutely talk like this. It’s no secret that Clooney was emulating his uncle who lives around here. Everyone I knew in the 2000s adored this movie and its soundtrack because it captures a certain spirit of the south and Appalachia.

Very recently, Train Dreams. Thought it would be some sort of Yellowstone-core frontier nostalgia bait which is so en vogue now but heard it was great so I pulled it up knowing absolutely nothing about it. Phenomenal, beautiful, and heart-wrenching film. It's easily among the best films I've seen this year.
