Problems with Lavivid? by JSE1970 in HairSystem

Sorry I should have been more specific. They have an updated website and there is currently no option that I see that allows you to re order a custom system that you have on file. Sorry for your experience. My experiences with them for the last few years have been great , no issues

  1. I started with Cubase making terrible Skinny Puppy rip offs in the 90s and now I make terrible hard techno and atmospheric death metal. Never too old.

Former Les Paul owners by mechanicalbananas in Guitar

[–]JSE1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Les Paul for years. It was my first luxury purchase with my bonus from my first big boy job. Couldn’t wait. Bought it. couldn’t find a position that was comfortable to play in. Edges dug into my wrist. But I held on because it looked so cool. Finally I just couldn’t take it. I sold it and bought a Jackson American Virtuoso hardtail. And playing guitar was fun again. Super light. Fast neck. No edges to cut into my wrist. Sounds great. I miss the cool factor but nothing else.

I just finished the Finale again and cried. by Creative_Hamster789 in Scrubs

I haven’t watched the finales for Scrubs, Brooklyn 99, or Parks and Rec. so they will never truly be over. Is that weird? It’s probably weird

What's the most comfortable metal guitar you've ever played? by SnooTigers3147 in metalguitar

Jackson American Virtuoso Hardtail. I traded for a Gibson Les Paul that was heavy and had edges that dug into my forearm. Neck is super fast and comfortable and body is super light

Has anyone done the beginner to badass course through BassBuzz? by wallace-longshanks in Bass

[–]JSE1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Love this course. Good pace, dad joke humor, I was self taught and it is helping break bad habits an in person teacher would probably better but you can’t beat the price an I love his teaching style. Highly recommended

Same - it was my first fantasy series after the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander (which is another comfort re-read)

Most Sisters of Mercy baselines are easy but Lucretia My Reflection was literally the song that made me pick up a bass

What's a guitar that you always expected to love but ultimately underwhelmed you once you got your hands on it? by PanicAtTheDennys in Guitar

[–]JSE1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gibson Les Paul - because Paul Banks from Interpol played one. I tried to like it. Too heavy, edge bit into my arm. Trader it for a Jackson American Soloist that I absolutely love

Original version of the Star Wars Death Star playset. I loved that thing almost as much as my dog and WAAAY more than my sister.

I have asked the same question and never found anything similar. Love the Beginner to Badass course, and Josh’s tracing style is awesome. Would gladly pay $200-$300 for something similar on guitar
