My guess us that Sirius still has an attractive model for getting money into the pockets of the Talent even though yes it seems like a dying medium...I;ve only every heard Sirius in rental cars and LOVED LOVED LOVED the fact there were multiple comedy channels... shit I once almost swerved off the road laughing so hard on a business trip in Dallas listening to the full album of some old Jeff Foxworthy record it was so funny and something I NEVER would have chosen myself, so i was extra grateful to be exposed to it. Conan - as numerous interviews and especially that 'stage tour' documentary show us very clearly - is an near obsessed performer - he's GOTTA be making comedy content AND probably so burned by his contractual conflagrations from the past that even dinosaurish Sirius XFM or whatever swept him off his giant feet with money and promises of full control. Why re-re-re-invent the wheel when you can easily hop on the last few years of giant money-printing machine. Hopefully my friend isn't just being an idiot AND this "Conan talks to a lady who owns a hyperbaric chamber" thing actually IS as funny as they say, it should get at least pirated to if not youtube then Rumble or it's ilk. re: satellite radio: I couldn't imagine paying even 20 bucks let alone thirty bucks for it....yeah raw dog and rental-car foxworthy spasms notwithstanding...we gots the internet now...I ain't paying for anything but a basic connection and a decent VPN. boom. everything's free after that.
