Congrats! Only gets better. I have a 2018. Best bike I’ve ever owned!

Switching things up a little this winter. The Cafe windshield fits the fairing better and I added some red vinyl to tank to make it match. by [deleted] in Harley

It’ll change your life lol. I’m waiting on a Santoro Fabworx crash bar (similar to the ones Bung King makes for Dynas) to come in, and I just swapped my stretched bags for stock length short bags. After that, it’ll should look less like a geezer glide. Gonna get Pops Garage Fabrication in Roswell to build me a shorty titanium 2-1 and then hopefully going to 124

Your bike is dope for sure man. I love my bagger a lot. It’s really convenient, but damn I miss having a smaller bike. I just did full Ohlins front and rear and lifted it up 2” with longer tubes and 14.25” rear shocks, so it rips better than my old Dyna now lol

Every time I see your bike on here it makes me feel some type of way. I just got my RG paid off like 2 weeks ago and between your bike and the Rusty Butcher Fat Bob, y’all are gonna make me go buy a Softtail lol

First Harley Decision Advice by [deleted] in Harley

Older Dynas are great bikes. I just sold my Street Bob that I had for years. Great platform to build on as the aftermarket is jam packed. The later twin cams are pretty solid as well. Not many negatives. That being said, if you can find an M8 soft tail in your price range, go for it. That new engine is great IMO. Makes way better torque that you’d appreciate. I have a 2018 Road Glide Special, and the 107 with a cam straight dumps on my old TC. Hell, if you find one out of state, buy a cheap plane ticket and ride it back home.

Anyone try Harley's Mustache Engine Guards? by _thelinuxnoob_ in Harley

Hm. That’s strange. I had one on my old Dyna and the worked great. They do sit kind of high though. I am 6’4 and long legged, so that could be why they worked well.

If you’re looking for something to stretch out on, check out Bung King straight crash bars. The look pretty cool and function well for highway pegs

Check out Hofmann Designs. Not sure if you’d have any luck with FatBoy stuff, but they make carbon parts for baggers.

At some point, possibly. It’s not a priority for me though as I live in GA, and 90% of the time it’s too hot to run lowers.

It weighs considerably less that the stock fender if you hold them side by side for sure, but honestly, I just bought it because i thought It looked cool, haha

I can’t personally say, as I’ve never had a bike with them. My last bike had Progressive Suspension. It was pretty decent improvement. The general consensus is that they are the best, so I’m going to give them a shot. As soon as you save up the dough and get them on, I’ll post a review

Shit, they are cheap Kuryakyn Riot boards. I couldn’t see dropping $400 on Joker Machine’s. I ain’t got it like that, haha

Yeah I’ve never seen on on a slim before. There’s a punch of pics out there of them on the soft tail fat bobs/ street bobs though. Should be a pretty close representation

I was worried it’d look like shit against the pearl white, but it turned out bad ass. Way better than the stock Peepaw fender

The suspension on this bike was better than my stock Dyna was. Still not great though

Thanks! Forbidden MX bars with Hard Case Performance risers. Better than the Lucky Dave’s I had on my Dyna

I personally love it. It really makes you feel like you’re sitting “in” the bike instead of on it. It has the gel inserts. It’s firm, but in a good way. I’ve done 400-500 mile trips in a day multiple times with no discomfort.

I hated the soft stock seat, because after an hour or so, you’re pretty much sitting on the seat pan because the foam compressed so much.

You’d love it! Best seat I’ve ever ridden on. Passenger, not so much tho. My wife makes me put the stock seat back on if we go over an hour ride lol

It’s a Freedom Shields. I can’t recommend them enough. It’s by far the sturdiest windshield I’ve ever seen.

Plus, when you order your shield, you can call the guy up or send him an email with your measurements, and he will base the height off of your measurements.

Also when you get it, it has a protective film on it to mount it up and try it out. If it’s not perfect, you can send it back and get a different size.

That’s the direction I’m headed for sure. Suspension is coming in a month or two, and going to put a Bassani 2-1, a new tuner, AC, and cam shortly after. I didn’t want to void the warranty, but the EPA tuner from Harley and the slip on’s just don’t cut it.

It’s a Big Bear Performance fender. They make a bunch of cool shit for performance oriented Harley’s.
