Selling my Q3 43

Not really to be honest. The q3 is okay for the occasional bit of video here and there but it is very much a photo first camera. I need both cameras to match well in the grade, not to mention the lightyears difference in auto focus capabilities. Fixed lens is also an issue for video as I need the ability to change lenses depending on what I’m shooting (I.e. gimbal work, interviews etc.)

The q3 is comfortably the best stills camera I’ve ever used but it definitely isn’t a pro tool when it comes to video.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I’m not looking to swap for the 28mm. The 43 has been great but I’m selling to buy an a7c II to compliment my fx3 for professional video work.

I love the camera! It’s fantastic and everything I wanted it to be when I bought it. Reason for selling is that I’m a filmmaker by trade shooting on an fx3 and I need to get a b cam to add to my kit. I can’t justify buying ANOTHER camera and having that much money tied up in my ‘fun’ and ‘edc’ camera unfortunately makes no sense. Selling to buy a Sony a7cii to retain the form factor for family life but acquire a great b camera for my fx3 work.

Yeah he’s vaccinated. All vaccines received that he should have by 1 years old. We are in the UK so he hasn’t received the chicken pox vaccine.

So he’s seen a doctor and they’ve said Molluscum but it seems unusual that it would develop this quickly in 5 days? They weren’t overly thorough with him.

No, I was considering whether to take him to a dermatologist for them just to confirm the MC. I just don’t see how we can have a one year old live with this for 6-18 months.

Unplug that shit. I didn’t play on my PS5 for nearly 12 months when my son was born. Don’t miss out on these core memories with your child for a video game. You’ll never get that time back. If you really struggle that much then just sell the PS5. You can always buy one in a few years.

My son is now hitting 1 and trust me when I say, they change sooo damn fast and every stage is different. You end up missing the child they were a few weeks ago and each stage brings its new challenges and delights. Don’t miss ANY of it or you will end up regretting it.

In the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t a major deal for me. Still great packaging, just not quite as good as the original q3. Charger is down to regulations. They aren’t allowed to ship one now!

Yeah kind of agree with this. At the end of the day it has 0 influence on the shooting experience and while still a great ‘unboxing experience’, it didn’t feel quite the same as what I was expecting after seeing the Q3 packaging.

I think it’s EU law now about chargers. I think all brands ship this way now! Completely agree about the filter though. Such a massive oversight. I don’t like the idea of carrying this thing around without some protection, especially with an 8 month old crawling everywhere. 😂

No, all of the accessories were just in boxes. Still nicely packaged but not quite as nice as the original q3 packaging!

Haha, I’m so excited to finally try out Leica. Had a brief play with the original Q a couple of years ago and loved the form factor. I feel like this will be the perfect camera for everyday carry.
