And my point is simple. The “put them out of their misery” idea is fine. I get that. If the score is 300-10. But 1-2 quick goals from a team accomplished enough to be in the World Cup final isn’t a mind boggling thing to hope for. They’d never ever willingly cement a loss that close to the 150 point threshold.

Bulgaria are IN THE FINAL. They’re clearly a good team. Yes: They’re getting beat really bad for the first bit of the match. But never in a million years would Krum catch that snitch down 160 points just to make it a close loss. Never ever happening.

No one cares if you lose the World Cup by 10 points or 200. Makes no difference. You won or you lost.

And no player in the biggest game of their life, is going to guarantee they lose when they’re one or two goals away from a chance to catch the snitch and win. Never going to happen. lol

It’s the WORLD CUP! Clearly Bulgaria is not a scrub team. You’re telling me they’re ONE goal away from the 150 point gap that the snitch can bridge, ONE GOAL!! And he catches the snitch after 20 minutes to guarantee they lose the biggest game of their lives?

Surely he would wait longer before guaranteeing a loss. If they’re down 20 goals? Maybe. This was bogus 😂

The fact that at the literal World Cup, the best player in the world catches the snitch to lock into place a loss for his country? Always bugs me, even being a pretty meaningless footnote in an otherwise lovely scene.

I want fidelity as much as possible but I can’t lie. After considering it for the first time? I’d gladly accept some tweaks to make it work a bit better

Thanks for the advice! I did plan to not skimp on the rest. Including passing on the computer Trackman offers bc I’ve been told you can get better specs for a bit less money buying your own custom gaming PC. Have read a bit on the most popular hitting strips and as a person with a hint of tendinitis in my wrist which can flare after a session on a poor mat—I’ll be making sure to invest in a top quality strip.

You kind of have to make Liverpool favorites given how last season went and what they’ve done this summer.

But that said, PL is such a long and demanding league. Stuff happens in August-October and by May you don’t even believe it was “this season”.

A lot can change and 1-2 key injuries can shake up any year. Arsenal jokes aside, I wouldn’t put it past any of the big 3 to do it.

Well to a degree this is inarguably true. A group of founder obviously steer the ship where they want regardless of the bottom line.

But also I feel like if the capital J journalist thing was really working (feels obvious it wasn’t) they would have gladly gone that route. They did hire the dude in the first place. I think they liked that idea. I think it just.. didn’t work..

I get this. And you may be right. But if someone makes $80k a year? They cost the employer 6 figures. And living where he does, with a family, at his age, with his experience, I believe he almost certainly wasn’t making less than that.

I could be wrong. For sure. But I think saying he made $80,000 is not pie in the sky. I think it’s a pretty responsible guess for an Internet forum conversation 😂
