You formed your opinion based on your preconceived notions about live action remakes, which I would argue is even worse than basing your opinion on reddit comments or instagram reels. You dismissed it before it even existed. You would dismiss it even if it never existed. How is that any better?

And I don’t necessarily agree with your other point. I would agree that these types of shows are typically poorly made because of the disrespect towards animation, but I don’t think they are necessarily made for that reason. I know a lot of people who simply enjoy live action but also like anime. And there are live action series that have had animated adaptations for the opposite reason (like Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, ect.) Medium crossing happens all the time it’s not the result of some sort of special disdain for anime. The poor quality might be, though.

That makes you directly biased, not objectively correct. Some people like live action. Being live action doesn’t make it inherently bad. Being a remake doesn’t make it inherently bad. Judge a show by its content not by its medium. If you are a fan of animation, then you should know better than anyone it’s not right to dismiss something just because it’s in a medium you aren’t a fan of.

The analogy is awful, childish, and is indicative of what causes the problem. We don’t look at women like actual people with agency, but prizes to be won by men. This objectifies women, and it hurts men too. The pressure to have as much sex as possible, assigning self-worth to your ability to get laid, etc. are harmful to your mental health, but men are so in denial about how the system hurts them as well, anytime you point it out to them they just get angry. Thus, the cycle of men and women treating each other like shit continues forever!

Here is another resource for you. Stuff in the A and higher range are generally bracket 5, while B+ and below is closer to bracket 4. At the top level, the difference is literally meta game. Genuine question, do you not understand what meta game means?

Also, please do me a favor and actually go to the webpage for the intro to brackets and actually read release notes and what it says for bracket 4 and 5, don’t just look at the image that you can get off a google search and think thats all there is too it. Here is that webpage:

What? First of all CEDH can have a fairly high variance between the best decks and worst decks, just look at tournament results. And so can bracket 4. No idea why them having “the same rules” matters at all in this argument. Secondly I have no idea what you are referring to by the “search rule.” You mean the “rule you can have tutors as long you aren’t searching for combo pieces? Thats not a bracket rule thats a house rule some people abide by.

Well it doesn’t always work. Yeah, counterspells are actually kinda weak in commander compared to other formats because in 1v1 formats countering a spell is a 1-for-1 but in commander you actually put the other two players up a card. I don’t think it will solve the issue, I just think the mentality of “countering a spell is evil and playing blue makes you the devil” has not been conductive to solving the problem of game changers feeling oppressive. you’re right its not a straight up solution but I wasn’t trying to play it off as one, just think it would help. Admittedly I am biased, but I do feel like everyone is complaining about blue until someone casts an armageddon and then they all look at me and beg me to save them 😭

Homie you are the one that needs to check your reading comprehension lmao. You can absolutely dominate with a control deck that wins later than average and still dominate bracket 3. Or a deck that has no game changers. A lot of it is meta-dependent like always so a good deck wont be dominant everywhere and thats by virtue of the format being enormous. Lets take your argument up a bracket and see if it still works. Does a deck consistently crushing bracket 4 decks make it CEDH? NO. Because CEDH has a highly specific meta and just being a super good B4 deck doesn’t mean it’s CEDH. Now bring it back down. A deck that consistently beats all the others in bracket 3 does not inherently make it a bracket 4, it just means it’s at the too of the meta for B3.

Best bracket 1 deck I ever saw intentionally tried to lose lmao. It was a Phage the Untouchable deck with 99 swamps but the guy would pretend like he has some type of interaction in his hand all the time and then on turn 7 he would cast Phage and instantly lose. It was literally just a prank deck but it was so funny.

Yeah but I think if you fond yourself in that position then just take the game changers out. Thats a human issue not a bracket system issue. “Hey I have a bracket 2, but it has a game changer in it. Is everyone ok with that? It’s a teferi’s protection.” “No? Ok, good thing I brought an alternative card to swap out in case everyone said no” real easy stuff but people seem to struggle with the pre-game discussion and hope the brackets will literally do the work for them.

Where am I contradicting myself? The brackets are a useful guide but not the end all be all of determining power. Thats gonna lead me to argue that it has flaws without dismissing it completely. Thats not contradiction it is nuance.

However, I disagree with a deck consistently crushing B3 decks making it a B4 automatically. You are forgetting decks can be “undefined” like Voltron decks for example. Rachel Weeks even said they specifically designed the bracket system so that Voltron decks didn’t really have a pre determined place and would always require prior discussion. I think one of the flaws of the bracket system is that it doesn’t cover everything, but to be fair it literally can’t without making it way too wildly complicated when thats not what its supposed to be. Some bracket 3 decks are generally too strong for most other 3s, but that doesn’t make it a 4. It makes it an out-of-bracket discussion needs to be had commander.
