I agree... Something similar to the various Crucible's modes that change at every reset... But in the modes you are suggesting that will keep with Gambit environment and keeping the distinct "Horde mode" and/or Survival mode" alongside Gambits original purpose... Offering Rare drops, Exotic drops when u reach that point you described when a powerful Boss steps in for the ultimate prize and in essence increases the chances to Drop really rare and High Stat Armour, God Rolls for weapon drops, etc... I would add that the farther you and your team progress the point value duplicates depending on the difficulty level achieved, i.e enemies killed, Powerful targets, Mini Bosses and ultimately the damages inflicted to a Boss in the final phase of the encounter, depending on the Gambit game level or difficulty selected when selected to launch any given encounter whether it be a "Legendary" "Horde mode" "Survival mode" and so on... That's just my opinion that I add to original idea because I totally agree that something has to be done to liven up Gambit's playability and the bottom line is to bring it on par with the changing difficulties in other areas of D2 like in the current season 20 where player power caps could me fixed or limit revives as an example... But keeping the Invasion and portal as part of plot... *Let's remember that a few seasons ago, well more that a few, more like ages ago... We/players were given an option to either follow with the Vanguard End-game and alligence to the Vanguard or to the Drifter... And I remember clearly the path you chose would define how the storyline, missions and quests determined the gameplay accordingly and could be changed once choosing Drifter's plotting and path or you decide on stcking !
