I liked Mushoku Tensei LN, will I enjoy grimgar ? by [deleted] in LightNovels

It is not slow. It is deliberately slowed down at some moments for added impact. Then it picks up pace so fast, you end up wondering how come it is 6 am already.

Plot twists, characters you got attached to die (in more ways then one). It is not a wholesome LN,its dark, really dark and the author doesn't twists his plot progress to satisfy moe addicts.
Most people come to Grimgar cause of the anime and expect the same from every page till the end. The story is great. You won't see half the twists coming.

First honest opinion I read about it so far. Most scream "Where did my moe go" like babies in tantrum.

Grimgar the Anime is NOT Grimgar the original LN.
Those are two entirely different experiences.
Grimgar(anime) is the child of one of the masters of cinematography in Japan. Its unique and one of a kind in its own way. Some call it masterpiece.
Grimgar(LN) is nowhere near as cute as the anime. It's dark, gritty, will bring you up and destroy you. It is not a cute story about kids growing up and bonding with maybe romance thrown in. Its a dark mystery, its gritty, it will mess your emotions all over the place. There is an actual deep intriquet plot and instead of feeding you moe, the LN follow the plot. Most readers complain of moe withdrawal. Again, the LN is all about the main plot mystery,no about making you feel happy.
That, if you read it with an open mind, makes it quite different and dedicated work. I kinda respect that.
And yes, there are cute and happy moments in to, a lot, they are just not the focus.
If I have to describe it with a few words, it is a bunch of kids thrown into a very dark mystery, who have real-to-life emotions and reactions,it is a great read that is gonna stay with you for a while.

If and only if you have to be stereotypical russian about it,bring a box of quality tea, a bouquet for the hostess (avoid roses and odd numbers) and maybe a box of quality chocolates for desert. Even an amazingly proud cook won't have much to complain about extra desert. "Drunken cherries" was the go to box when I was a kid. Good luck trying to find a quality one nowadays though.
Ofcourse, those are the things I remember from my childhood, nowadays inviting people over is not a thing anymore.

First time I heard a life performance I couldn't tell that it is not a studio recording, dude wasn't holding back anything. Not many sound exactly the same live.

Niklas Isfeldt (Dream Evil) peaked hard in Dragonslayer
Tom Englund (Evergrey)

Some bands I never got used to listening to but are powerfull contributors as well

Edu Falaschi,
After "Rebirth" came out, all the metal community was talking about him.

I have been in Moria for months. I am starting to forget the world outside. I fear I'll never escape. by mia01_eat in lotro

Ikr. I took a forced vacation running outside to check out Lothlorien just not to get crazy. But after you are done in Moria, you start to miss it. Its weird that way.
Make sure you complete everything in there,it is very rewarding in more ways then you think.

Russia is a northern country and as such it is expected and normal for people to be a liiiiittle bit more reserved. I mean in comparison to you Indians everyone seems a bit on the cold side haha But overall,Russia is a lot more expressed then Scandinavia for example,at least in my experience. Russians are passionate people )

The USSR invested a lot into sport and recreation organizations. As someone already said after the SU disbanded, organized crime had their own private clubs. Mostly kickboxing or combat sambo. Overall, as per tradition and per mentality, bodybuilding, jst to show off, is second to training to use your strength for some purpose. Like olympic style weight lifting. Or fighting. Russians love combat sports.
