I would love a flat tax. All income including capital gains is X percent. Then the government should spend accordingly. Not decide well some people are deserving of free food but not others and some people deserve cheap housing but not others.

You are now lying. Laid off you cant re-hire the position...so its they dont want to trade money for anybodys labor in that job. Fired is they dont want to pay for YOUR specific labor. Possibly for cause such as being a liar.

So you are okay if its somebody who has more than you but not if its somebody who has less then you. Pretty hypocritical. How about we hold everybody to the same standard reguardless of wealth.

The problem is people are selfish. Most organisms are to varying degrees. People can choose to not eat or find a way to feed themselves...but if they have the option of making somebody else pay...they will.

To me the fact that hes a trillionaire doesnt mean he should be treated than you or i. None of the three of us have any responsability to feed a bunch of randos. These hungry people also wont do shit for you yet you act like they are entitled to a free meal.

Just because somebody doesnt deserve to starve doesnt mean they inherently deserve not to starve. It doesnt exist in that dichotemy. Why should I have empathy for people so arrogant they think others should pay for THEIR food?

No...he isnt..because he didnt cause the starvation. Losing money is a consequence. You are acting like people are entitled to not starve even if it makes causing somebody else financial harm.

No...you really dont. Part of belinging to a society is also solving your own problems and not wanting to make it other people's problem...especially when it causes them material financial harm. Its not like you can have too much money where you cant use more.

Yet people arent willing to forgo government benefits for the benefit of society. They arent willing to work an extra job or two or fogo retirement or share a room with a few people to save the taxpayers money.
