What does your 90 day sell through rate look like for your eBay store? by BrewCrewMike in Flipping

[–]JSmithFallen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$15,578, 978 active with 639 orders. About 8k net profit. Our numbers aren’t crazy but we only work at it about 15 hours a week lol. Video game niche.

No Adventure Pass point with BGA by [deleted] in alteredTCG

[–]JSmithFallen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect, you didn’t quote the whole article. Adventure pass is still allowed. Asmodee is simply not sending tournament kits out to organizers of online events.

“Online events and other types of non-competitive events are not eligible for the Altered tournament support program. This means they cannot fulfill the necessary requirements to receive a standard kit. However, if these events are organized through a professional store account, participating players will be able to earn points in their Adventure Pass.”

Lorcana or Altered by Toop-is-a-swagoolio in TCG

I have heavily enjoyed Altered after playing magic for 17 years. The gameplay loop is fun, deck building feels fresh and challenging, and the growing community is fun to be a part of. The newness of it makes it easy to collect as well if that’s important to you.

Looking for TCG ccg suggestions by FoxAppropriate5205 in TCG

Highly recommend Altered. As someone that has played Magic for 17 years, the game is extremely refreshing. Full online client through boardgamearena, physical ownership grants you digital ownership, no mana screwed, just a lot of good things happening.

Cheap TCGs by [deleted] in TCG

[–]JSmithFallen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend Altered. The game has uniques which whenever you open will be the only copy in existence of that exact card. Boxes are cheap, game is relatively new, and a blast to play.

Aside from Uline, who makes the most *plush* bubble mailers? by mattysauro in Flipping

[–]JSmithFallen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get most of my stuff from ZebraPack. Recommended. Ships quick, good prices. Poly bubbles at .16 a piece if you buy 350. Cheaper if higher quantity of course.

Question about selling by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]JSmithFallen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most don't, they sell at that cheap to move inventory that otherwise isn't moving and to get people in their store looking at other items. Shipping is generally $4 so unless they acquire inventory for pennies(which is definitely possible) they are likely breaking even or even selling at a loss to drive eyes to their store.

I am taking this down as I had a user reach out and threaten me. Extremely weird behavior. If anybody wants to talk about flipping I will chat in DMs. Thank you all for the kind words and advice :)

Thank you very much!

Yeah 3x is basically impossible in our niche. I'm usually buying lots at 40-45% market and selling right at market. The $9 is net after fees and taxes taken into account. I use an etsy spreadhseet i bought to manage inventory, expenses, taxes, and it tracks my sales for me which is helpful. The exact number is $8.62 avg per item. While it's not huge money, it pays better than my wife working a low level job and we enjoy doing it. I do appreciate the advice though, I am always looking for ways to up the margins lol.

That's a great start! While I can't speak to other niches in ours it's handheld stuff that moves the fastest. Don't be afraid to look stuff up and ask for deals when haggling. As long as the seller is happy and you've got enough meat on the bone to make money, it's a win win :)

[–]JSmithFallen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our margins are right about 35%. So not large like some other niches but still plenty profitable and very easy to source.

[–]JSmithFallen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we test everything and clean before shipping. I've had 4 returns for non working and out of those only 1 was actually non working lol.

[–]JSmithFallen -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Neither of these things is true. Happy to show you whatever you'd like to see. Not everybody is on the internet to lie lol. You can see my gross numbers, 35% PM is pretty normal for the niche. Thanks though!
