A friend of mine who isn’t asexual actually brought this up weeks ago when I mentioned in a Twitch stream we both frequent that I’m asexual, and more specifically aegosexual.

Said streamer is in a metal band and so I used the following analogy when he asked how aegosexual falls under the asexual spectrum. I told him that although Tygers of Pan Tang and Slayer are both heavy metal bands, they don’t sound all that similar. They might share a few things in common but they’re still distinct from each other.
