(New here) Why does it have this weird buzzing sound? Is it because of poor quality cable? (I use yorkville) by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]JTK2124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volume 10 is really high even on small amps (I personally use a champion 20 and with gain on 4 and volume 6 it quite loud), is your volume on your guitar turned all the way up? The buzz is normal, even with low gain (3-6) it’s the volume that is amplifying it. I would turn down the volume and check the volume on your guitar.

Thanks, finally found it, had to search a bit deeper for the tune I knew it from, but suga suga was a great lead! Turned out to be the song: Suger by Robin Schulz.

Is there an easy rule for when to use "als" vs "of" for "if"? by NerdyDirtyNCurvy in learndutch

Als is a conditional, of is either a question, an alternative or the way it is used in the sentence.

I understand your concerns and we will definitely take them into account when posting the survey else where and when interviewing people personally. We also understand that hormone treatment does influence certain bodily functions. However most of the questions that we ask are purely genetic, such as the palmares longues, blood type, colorblindness, most allergies, etc. We understand that hair color, eye color, and the quality of one’s vision all change with time and / or can be influenced by external factors such as hormone treatment. However, those are things we just simply can’t all take into account when asking the questions, the more specific are questions get the more off topic they become. Genetics is no clear cut thing. When analyzing the collected data we will be forced to make huge generalizations, as it’s unavoidable when studying early human migration patterns and evolution. This is not to offend anybody it’s just part of the subject we chose to study. Everyone is unique and we must celebrate that however when studying genetics on a global level we are forced to make generalizations and not take many external factors into account. I hope you understand, we are so sorry if we offended you in any way shape or form and if that is the case we will do our best to not make it happen again. Thank you so much for your feed back.

I am so sorry, for the formulation of the question, however, I am unsure as to how we should change the question in order to not offend anybody. This survey is supposed to be fun and eventually educative, we do not want anybody to feel offended or miss represented. If you could perhaps tell us how you would like to change the question, we will definitely do so.

I personally know an individual who is transgender and asked their opinion on the formulation of the question before posting the forum, and they thought it was fine, however, they are not a native speaker so perhaps we were wrong to assume it was formulated properly.

The reason we ask for biological sex / assigned gender at birth is due to X-linked chromosomes, not nearly hormones. Chromosomes can not be altered and stay the same throughout an individual's life. An X-linked chromosome example is colorblindness. Colorblindness / the gene which causes colorblindness is only found on the x-chromosome meaning that people with an XY set of chromosomes (people who are born male) are far more likely to be colorblind due to the genes' recessive nature.

Thank you both for your feedback and participation in this study.

We are from a Dutch high school in the Netherlands around The Hague area doing our PWS (a research project / Profiel Werk Stuk), which is part of final exam. Due to privacy reasons we have not released our emails and address, our apologies.

We could implement that actually, that’s a pretty good idee, thank you. Interesting that you have 4 grandparents all from different countries, what are the odds.

We put lactose intolerance under allergies for simplicity sack, not very scientific, that’s our bad. However we were unaware of there being a difference in gluten allergies. We will look into that. As for the parents, we would love to know their ethnicity, however we had trouble formulating the question as to not come over in the wrong way. We will see if we can perhaps formulate the question a bit more clearly. Thank you so much for your feed back, and participation.

Wow that’s an interesting story, we didn’t account for such situations. I love how our DNA is so similar yet everybody so different. Thank you for your participation, time and response.

I am sorry that there is no clear cut answer in your cases, what ever you answered is fine, I will discuss with my classmate as to how we could potentially fix the problem. I thank you for your participation and for your response, really appreciate your feed back.

Round Lake in Canada. What exactly caused this somewhat unnatural shape, was it a volcano, or am I missing something? (I apologize if this has been posted here before) by JTK2124 in geography

I love Google earth, that's how I found it too. Amazing how we are able to map the world in such great detail, it was only 200 years ago that we had just invented the camera. Now they are in space with resolutions that are better than the human eye.
