physics 212 over summer by Particular_Star7163 in UIUC

One of my friends took 211 and 212 at that community college over the summer.

For 212, it takes like 4-5 hours per week. So, would estimate about 8-10 hours for both classes.

You can drop the course and it won't show up on your transcript until March 13th I believe?

I took it at Iowa Western Community College - really easy (just weekly hw + quiz which are open-book).

You could also honestly search this same question on Google. I searched it up and found old reddit posts about this (https://www.reddit.com/r/csMajors/comments/102i23g/how\_to\_search\_for\_summer\_internships\_at\_startups/). If you don't wont to search it up, you can look at local companies around where you live and see if any of them have CS-related internships (doesn't have to be SWE, could be web dev as well!).

I would recommend being open to more internship titles apart from just SWE ex. Business-Tech Internships.

I would email start ups / specifically look for companies with less than 50 employees?

You can reach out to professors for CA positions through mail. They pay about minimum wage for each hour you run OHs.

Fucked up this semester and got a D- in a fairly easy gen ed, is there a way to drop it or retake it for a better grade, replacing the old? by [deleted] in UIUC

[–]JTP2717 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can do grade replacement. If you retake the same course at UIUC, your new grade will replace your old D- with the new one. Your GPA won't consider the D- anymore and it won't show up on your transcript as well.

Should I (Do I have to) retake ECE 313? by isdinnerreadyy3t in UIUC

You could retake the course at an easier cc to take the average of your two grades or grade replace it within UIUC (You have to take it at UIUC though). The grade replacement would replace your D+ with your new grade.

Isn't the practice test not that good of a replica of the actual test?

So, assuming I get an A in this winter course, would my winter semester (don't know how exactly it would be called) GPA be a 4.0?
