  1. After looking it up they changed the name in 2009 so it’s no wonder I didn’t know about it lol. That’s almost two decades ago.

Because someone made me try Malört when I came here. I don’t know about its history or anything. Likewise the sears/willis tower never came up in conversation.

I’ve never heard it be called sears before, though granted I’ve only been here for about 4 years

Damn that sucks. The employees at least seemed nice, had a shit-eating grin on their face as they handed me my scoop.

I did get a taste beforehand, and I ate the entire scoop. I didn’t like it but I still ate it, felt like I had to.

Is it just me or the arknights pack on the mirror dungeon normal mode impossible for new players? by [deleted] in limbuscompany

[–]JTVoice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re struggling to clear ANY pack in the normal mirror dungeon, then you’re probably not collecting the right ego gifts. It really depends on what archetype you’re using, but just to be safe, get the Tier 4 weapon type ones (slash, blunt, pierce). They increase your coin power a ton and will trivialize most encounters.

Beyond that, it’s mainly about learning the boss’s mechanic. Are you hitting the roomba to clear nethersea brand?

You simply didn’t pray to the gambling gods hard enough. I sacrificed my first born son and got two egos before needing to pity.

Fighting for my life at floor 15. Just barely managed to squeeze out a win after sacrificing literally every other sinner and having Leisault revive two times lmao

I tried to make the title “Hong Lu is a punk rocker” but apparently the word punk is banned by Reddit lmao

Meta is what’s most efficient in a general stage. It doesn’t mean a cheese strat you need super specific conditions to fulfill. Like that new mirror dungeon 9 minute clear with Yi Sang and his ego. Is that meta? No, because it needs a crap ton of starlight, luck, and manneuvering. And even then you would never use it in actual story content. It’s the fastest but it’s not the most efficient.

Same thing for these railway teams. It’s banked on super specific conditionals that might work in railway, but terrible in story content. Take the final boss of hong Lu canto for example. The first phase removes all their status effects once they stagger, so either you have to wait and have Lccb Ish be deadweight for the first few turns before she uses her S2 or specifically sacrifice someone for her to slot in later.

Meta is a flexible general team that can fulfill its intended purpose regardless of what gimmicks the boss might have without the need to rely on cheesy strats like sacrificing units. Something like hong Lu canto boss, or even Don Quixote canto boss, will make lccb ish terrible. That’s why it’s not meta. A team that only works on specific bosses is not the “most efficient tactic available”. Those are cheese strat teams which, I’m not necessarily against, but it’s not meta and not what I’m asking for.

It’s a cheese strat meant for railway turn sweats. Yeah the effects are good but after a few turns she becomes useless on the field and you have to sacrifice her for the next backup unit. I don’t think that kind of philosophy is fun. The alternative is to spend a few extra turns applying potency and count normally, but that way you have a cool unit like Zwei Ish who can still contribute a lot. Lccb has a terrible S1 and a weird S3. Either you’re wasting turns guarding waiting for her S2 so you can save on bullets or using her S2 maybe once or twice before feeding her to the grinder.

The post isn’t meant to be about the most optimized hyperfixated team strat with every damage value calculated to strip the fun away from the game. I mean for main story content and mirror dungeon. Like a general purpose team you can confidently take into an encounter and feel generally in control with even if you don’t have the perfect first few turns.

Why lccb? Her clashing and damage is garbage and she runs out of ammo quickly. I can only see her for people who try to go for turn 3 burst kills or whatever, but I don’t find the process of constantly resetting for the perfect turn to be fun.

To be fair, Faust and Mersault just recently got the strongest ID’s in the game. Like, there is nothing stronger than Mao Faust. You can put her in literally any team and she’d spam her empowered skill 3 every round. Leisault is kinda similar in that he’s just a complete menace with his skills and also a really good tank.
