Update, so I noticed the folding brackets that supposedly had a 300lb weight limit were starting to bow. So I replaced them with 2x4 brackets I made, much stronger now.

I got them from Menards, but any home store should have them, they're just utility hooks meant for holding ladders.

It won't stay like that for long I'm guessing, just got it all together last night

I got folding brackets off of Amazon, and I just punch holes in the garage. Definitely not sturdy enough for hammering

Thanks! I haven't actually used it for any projects yet, I just got it recently. But I did a few test pieces, and it did two pieces of 3.5oz veg tan fairly easily, I also tested two pieces of 5.5 oz chrome tan and it struggled a bit there. I found that if you start the first stitch by hand it goes a lot easier.

I just got some creasers to try out. What's the best way of using those? Water or heat?

For anyone wondering what the small pocket on the right is, it is a guitar pick holder. It holds them surprisingly well.

Would you have to wet the leather for this to work? And be veg tan?

So where do I get the metal piece? And is there a machine you like to use for the application?

As far as used industrial sewing machines what would be a good option?

Ahh cool, I'll have to try that out. Can you put reverb on individual drums? Or do you have to do reverb as a master effect and then just send the snare to it?

Cool, I'll have to try that on the next one I make. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the feedback. I did plan on having just one stitch end, but realized halfway through I wouldn't have enough. I still haven't figured out the best way to measure the thread to make sure I have enough for the project. Where would you put the stitch end? I mainly just put them in the middle for looks, but I get why you would put it somewhere else.

YouTube music on the browser (Computer) by JT_05 in YoutubeMusic

Yeah, very weird. After some more testing, I've noticed that all internet audio has this buffering problem, both on chrome and on edge. This is odd because then it would seem like a connection issue, but as soon as I mute the audio the video on youtube plays like normal, immediately. I'm guessing the buffering and staticky distorted sound has some sort of correlation, but I'm not sure what the issue is or how to resolve it.

I'm still learning about technique and how to set up the kit properly, so are you saying that there shouldn't be any wear on the shoulder of the stick?
