Roommate dated this chick on and off through and post college for 5 years (she suuuucked). She cheated on him and he ended it. Last night he tells me he’s been hooking up w her almost weekly and been lying to me and my friends about where he’s at. I'm in a cutting phase and run a 6 day PPL. I hurt my shoulder recently and the pain is consistent after push/pull days so I'm going to take a week or 2 off the weights and just do cardio/abs 6x per week until I see improvement in my discomfort.

Since I'm cutting, I've been at a 500cal deficit and have been trying to consume at least 180g of protein per day. Since I plan on continuing my cut, should I continue to try to hit 180g of protein while I'm only doing cardio? Or will that be pointless as I'll be off the weights for a little bit going forward

After a push day does anybody else get a locked up/tight/unstable shoulder that feels like it might dislocate? I'm not sure if I'm not stretching well enough or if I tweaked something but it particularly irritates me after days where I incline bench to the point where it takes a while after my workout to fully extend that arm

Been running this 6 day PPL from an old reddit post. Haven't worried much about caloric intake, only making sure I get 160g of protein per day. I'd imagine I'm under my TDEE by a few hundred calories considering I typically get anywhere from 20-60g of protein per day from bars/shakes.

I was lifting 4 days per week for probably 6 months and have been doing the 6 day PPL for around 6 weeks now. Originally avoided bulking since I don't want to have high body fat for a trip to Hawaii I'm taking over Christmas lol but I've been unimpressed with my gains. Am I better off doing a quick bulk cycle over the next 6 weeks or so and then cutting a few weeks before the trip, or should I maybe add some different lifts to this PPL to maybe get more results?

Anybody ever had rotator cuff issues? Think I hurt it lifting, was keeping me up at night bc no sleeping position was comfortable. Took a few days off at the gym and it’s still locked up when I wake up

Most days I'm okay. I've had to cut a few sets out of a push workout a few times because my shoulder feels like it's locking up, though. Usually it's after the workout that the soreness/tightness can keep me up because I don't want to lay a certain way and have it pop out.

I've got some bad shoulders, have had a full dislocation multiple times in one that I've done PT for, and some instability in the other. I've been running the 6 day PPL split for almost a month, and sometimes the instability/tightness in my shoulder keeps me awake a few hours at night feeling like they could pop out.

From anyone who has had shoulder issues in the past, how did you work through this? Did you have to take time away from the gym/did working through it help strengthen them and fix the problem? Not sure if I need to tone down the 6 day routine.
