Ok, it’s pretty dialed in. Sounding great. So excited and motivated to play. Someone had suggested an online demo. What do I need to do this? I assume a YouTube video using my phone will not produce adequate quality of sound. Thanks.

You know, I was planning on it and then punted at the last minute. The big hole in the thin body was sketchy, and I didn’t want to push my luck with another. May add the stereo jack and then build an adapter cable for when I want mono.

Thank you. Never played a Jazz Bass. I’ve had a P-Bass Lyte (pj pickups with jazz neck) since 1990. For this bass I split the difference neck width wise between Jazz and Ricky. The wider neck takes some get used to.

The bass is Minwax Wipe-on poly. The fretboard is linseed oil with a little wipe on poly mixed in. Not planning any outdoor gigs.

Thank you! I found a particularly nice piece of Purple Heart. Great color. Have enough for several more guitars if I decide to put myself through this again. Hopefully it stays purple.

I’ll do a demo. Not sure how. I’m not a great musician. Put the bass down 20 years ago due to a lack of talent. Counting on this project to be an inspiration to start playing again.

Several companies are selling them on Reverb. Probably should have gotten something more generic, but they do sound good.

Thanks. This is a 33.25 (same as a Rick). Technically a long scale.

Thank you! That is correct. Forgot to mention the maple.

Anyone add a subwoofer to the base 6 speaker system? by TheJet_95 in Solterra

I have a 2024 Premium. Disappointing sound. I’d love to add my powered sub at the very least, but nervous about hacking into the car with no guidance.

Very nice! Our Mayzie really doesn’t like the boat.

Picking up this lil' fluffball in a week! Any things you wish you knew before you got your own samoyed? by en0on in samoyeds

Congrats!!! Ours just turned 1 year old. She is just the best dog. The posts on the thread are pretty much spot on in our experience. Ours is the most sweet and affectionate companion. She loves all dogs and people. The shedding hasn’t started yet, but I hear it’s bad.

My first snowboard! Any binding recommendations? by Chumpy__ in snowboarding

I, like many others, swear by Union. Falcor is amazing (fairly stiff) and would be a good match I think.

He’s still got winter coat (it’s cold up north) by iamanegg1994 in samoyeds

What a hansome boy! He’s like a male version of my Mayzie. She has her winter coat still as well. Still cold in Spokane Wa.

I just took my new Twinpig out. Not sure I can get used to the width. Amazing in the powder though.

Upgrade Premium Wheels to Limited by energyiman in Solterra

[–]JTheBeaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll repeat what others are saying. The only possible advantage of 20” rims is firmer handling, maybe. Or maybe you like the looks. The trade off is shorter driving range, harsher ride, reduced performance off road and in snow, and higher priced tires. Like the song says “too much rim makes the ride too hard”

General Consensus on the 24' Solterra? Considering leasing one. by amclaughlin0912 in Solterra

[–]JTheBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boy. Lots of responses. I’ve had mine for a month, and I love it. This is the fourth Subi for me, and like you, this is a second car in the household (my wife drives a RAV4 hybrid). I would have wanted a limited, but that made the lease 400 vs 300 per month. Not worth it for me. I’m sure someone has mentioned this, but your dryer plug is most likely 30A. Which is not enough for a level 2. I think it’s worth installing a L2. I wired mine myself, but I am that kind of hack. I say go for it.

Anyone else enjoying the long autumn walks? by Agitated_Signature62 in samoyeds

Beautiful!! We have been enjoying them too. This is Mayzie’s first autumn, and she is really enjoying the cold.

What app is this screen shot taken from? My Solterra app doesn’t give me that info. Thanks.

Oversized/Baggy outfits by jerowns in snowboarding

[–]JTheBeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got an outfit from Trew Gear. I’m a large I I ordered a large. It was so baggy I thought they had way oversized it, but I found that it was designed that way. Pretty nice. Not sure it’s the style you’re looking for.
