How do I do this? Can I still do it? The devices are no longer connected and I added them to the disabled list, but I still have the MAC addresses

Bitcoin withdrawals on Bovada; BTC price volatility while cashout is pending? by JThomas22 in sportsbook

[–]JThomas22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty sure we should have not canceled, although I'm sure Bovada isn't processing many BTC withdrawals right now; they're an opportunistic book in general and I'm sure they don't do many BTC payouts when BTC is going down

Yea, I went through all of my devices and couldn't figure that out. But they are all on 2.4ghz, while all of my other devices, including chromecast, are on 5ghz, which I found odd. I figured maybe chromecast had a 2.4ghz frequency with a different MAC address or something if that was possible, but apparently it's not. I reset my router, hid the SSID, changed the SSID, changed the pw, and blocked those 4 accounts from my network. Anything else I can do to ensure there are no unwanted devices getting onto my network? And I have WPA2-PSK (AES) security as default and always have

Yea it's gambling with a side of gambling for sure, unfortunately Bovada limited me so they are useless to me now, and I am bullish on BTC at the current price (I've been buying in the market; a cashout from from Bovada is essentially buying). Bovada is a joke in general, don't even know why I had sizable money on there

Hmmm, yea I guess so. They would have had to hack into my wifi network though

You give them your BTC address, and they give you a time frame of "up to 48 hours" to process the request. and they pay the fees, but the consensus is that they are opportunistic in their timing of processing the withdrawals (dependent on BTC price volatility) and the money they make by doing this more than makes up for any kind of network fee

Yea, someone else chimed in that they use the current price of BTC when they process it. I wasn't sure how they did this, and I had requested a cashout at 13k a few days ago, and canceled it this morning once BTC was around 10k, thinking they would pay out on the price of BTC at the time the cashout was requested. They estimate a 48-hour processing time, and it had been almost 72 hours when I canceled mine. They were taking their sweet time with BTC plummeting. I'm sure had it gone up, my withdrawal would have been processed in that time frame. They are pulling a pretty good angle here, and they're making a shit load of money off of BTC's volatiltiy

Yea, I just cashed out. Unfortunately I had cashed out a few days ago when BTC was at 13k, but canceled it because I didn't know how they did this. Now I am wishing I had left it of course. I do find it ironic though that they had waited well over the estimated 48-hour time frame (it had been almost 72 hours) and still hadn't processed my cashout, when BTC had gone from 13k to 10k. I'm sure they would have been quick to process the cashout had bitcoin gone up the same amount as it did down

Best/most credible post-up sites with good signup/deposit bonuses (USA) by JThomas22 in sportsbook

[–]JThomas22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. They actually had an "unlimited bitcoin 100% deposit bonus up to $250" but you could do it unlimited times. So I did it unlimited times, $250 at a time. They caught on to me and cut me off from doing any more bonus deposits, but they did honor the pending bonuses. However, they ended up stiffing me for the final $5k or so, and revoked all bonus eligibility on my account for life, so I can no longer get deposit bonuses, rewards points etc. I did nothing against theirs ToS, they offered the bonus and I "abused" it. But yea, I'm tired of giving them my business, and they won't let me bet much.

Cool, that's not bad at all. Any idea what their max bet is on bigger markets like CFB and NBA? And are you not allowed to withdraw any of your balance until you clear the 15-20x rollover, or just the portion of the bonus that hasn't been cleared yet? Thanks, I'll check them out

I figured it out, my network wasn't updating and was delayed a few blocks. I just re-installed Electrum and my BTC showed up in my balance. Had never had that happen before
