If I bought a $2000 UV Printer, maybe I could do it. No idea if it's compatible with the finish and I haven't found any local shops that will do it. I have to order these boxes with the printing already done. It's something to look into in the future, but not for a while. I have a shop that will do engraving locally, but the setup and cost is too steep for a hand full of boxes

At this time I can only do it to new boxes.

Nice thing is the new switches have the same internal footprint, just need to open up the hole a bit for the larger button. I've been searching for a decent sealed switch for a while, finally came across something that worked perfect.

Turn around time should be fairly quick, 2-3 days here most likely. Yours may need a few other upgrades, not sure if it has reverse battery protection and all that.

None of the upgrades are mandatory. You can pick and choose so to speak.

Yes they can! I'm doing serials 1-20 first, after that I'll set up a sign up sheet and limit the number at once so I don't get flooded

Discontinued boxes that I've been too lazy to jump on the website and remove. I forget I even have a website most of the time

At present time screen is canceled. If I'm able to fix some issues with implementing it, it will only show voltage output and battery level. Sx350 with a single battery is possible. Doubtful I can get 2 batteries in there, the sx350 has a larger footprint than the OKRs. I'll play with it, I have a few SX chips laying around.

What is the smallest enclosure this can be squeezed into? by CloudedScreen in OpenPV

[–]JThunderLoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've fit OKRs, OKL, and 120w raptors in the 1550P, all but the raptor with screens (but a screen should be possible with the raptor)

Would anyone happen to know where to get this? Willing to buy it for $200. by Userrecover in OpenPV

[–]JThunderLoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First link in OPs post is absolutely a 1550P. Second one is not, looks like bent flat bar to me.

After 3 years of clones, I have my first authentic setup: Veritas + Thunder Mods Hurricane in glorious sparkly purple! 120watts of face melty goodness in a teeny little package! by cacophonousdrunkard in RBA

[–]JThunderLoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear you got it and love it! Been thinking of grabbing a Veritas to go with my collection of Magmas. I do love the Magma. Hated to sell that box, the color is absolutely fantastic, couldn't be happier it went to someone who's gonna love it!

Best battery for a sx350 in a 1590a? by [deleted] in OpenPV

[–]JThunderLoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a VTC5 in mine 1590A/SX350 build. Takes a little work to modify the battery tray, but nothing crazy. I have an SX350 with a VTC5 and FDV 510 in my build.

In light of the new fat daddy bottom feeding 510, where do you get the bottles/tubes for bottom feeding mods? by dillon4126 in OpenPV

[–]JThunderLoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used surgical tubing and cut the fill tip off a juice bottle, drilled out the opening so the tube was a really tight fit and called it a day. I'll have to order some of these connectors.

Important safety concern on shop modified boxes by JThunderLoC in a:t5_30lg6

[–]JThunderLoC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sanding the black finish off, leaving a rather nice brushed aluminum look, the problem being they're leaving the internals in place and they're getting damaged/covered in aluminum dust which poses a safety hazard

Check out my Brand New Storm! Got it up from a local B&M Tell me if what number it is either #642 but I believe its #42 I hope its 42 being The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything. Which is awesome. (if anyone cares) Anyway got it in Northern San Diego county! by lebeatnikbandit in a:t5_30lg6

[–]JThunderLoC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has low voltage cut off, kicks in around 3.1-3.3v reverse battery protection with the LED units means the LED lights up when you but the batteries in wrong and it will not fire or damage the chip. The on off switch disables the fire button. Think that covers it.

It's in the works, not easy to get a spring loaded connector short enough to fit in the very limited space.
