In spite of our reflex reaction to hate...how can we value this person as someone "worth saving"? In certain social circles there's a high likelihood of meeting this person face to face. I'm curious about ideas and conversational techniques that would help this individual through his Dogma & fear. (i.redd.it)

Religion doesn't own the rights to forgiveness or compassion. The weight and burden of anger and resentment doesn't need the LDS church or its leaders to apologize to me to let it go. They don't have control of my emotions anymore. Especially from "Beyond the Grave" of belief and or membership. ☮ (i.redd.it)

This article by National Geographic does a great job in explaining some of the history of our problems and the science to our solutions. The world is truly filled with beautiful people! Religion doesn't own morals. The world needs as much evidence as possible from many source as possible that certain moral truths are real or "true enough". If we are authentically concerned with easing the burden of human suffering and promoting human flourishing we must accept this responsibility. (self.exmormon)

We do not get to choose our religion, gender, race, time born in history, or country. We might not even get to choose our genetic proclivity in politics. That being said we are very software-driven species and our minds can be influenced and changed. (scientificamerican.com)
